Thanks for sharing useful information.I need advise related to 1756 ENBT Ethernet card communication. Usually We communicate with Allen Bradley PLC and(RS logix 5000,RS links ) via Control net module.We use also ethernet module for remote monitoring. "Network" light of Ethernet module is flashing green instead of steady. IP address is Ok and RS links see Ethernet module on rack.But when we check Module Properties from RS Logix 5000 it showed "Internal state : unconnected." I checked this module in other PLC rack and worked fine.But in own rack is not working I check new Ethernet module in the same slot but the same problem.Even i put to other slot no any good result.Could you please give me advise

Hi How are you I need to ask a question please I have a laser cutting machine with allen Bradley plc slc 5/05 The cpu of the plc has tow ports one for ethernet and the other for rs232 The plc was operating very good with ethernet cable but suddenly the communication stopped i don't know why so now i need to change the communication to the serial port what can i do please if you need any information i will give if you need to help me At last thank you for your time

Hi there, I've used the switch, because when I change the switch the RSlogix5000 goes to online mode automatically. Naturally, you can use the software too.

Good content. Is it possible that you can help me with connecting to my Micrologix 1100 plc on RSLogix 500. The PLC has a static IP address and I cannot seem to change it. Bootp doesn’t seem to see my PLC when I connect it via the LAN port. I have changed the IP address of my laptop to be similar to that of the PLC but still nothing works. I cannot access my plc and use it on RSLogix 500

Hi there, I've not worked with your PLC type (Micrologix 1100). however, If you want to program your PLC for the first time, maybe any IP address has not been defined inside your PLC. I mean your PLC doesn't have any IP address. inconsequence you can not connect it. try to use its MAC Address to connect it and then define an IP address for that for further purposes

Hi there, Each device has a MAC address. you can use MAC address to make connection with PLC and define its IP address. After that you can connect via the IP address.💚💚

Sir when we download program from pc to plc whether plc automatically goes in program mode from run mode

Some PLCs change their mode to program mode automatically, to download a program, but some of them don't let you. you will need to change the PLC mode manually and then, you will be able to download your program.
