Connecting an Oculus Quest Unity Game to Metamask with FusedVR APIs

Welcome to the Metaverse! In this video, I will show you how you can connect a VR Oculus Quest app running in Unity to a user's wallet like Metamask using the FusedVR Crypto APIs. By using teh passwordless authentication of the Crypto APIs, you can securely guarantee that the player is who they claim to be and as such, verify they own the given set of ERC 721 or 1155 NFTs and ERC-20 tokens that are part of their wallet. This opens up a whole new world of Web 3 applications that can be built and leveraged in VR.

the apis themselves don't support those types of transactinos, but with metamask and a dapp it is possible to trade nits and bep-20

hi really cool. I got the AUTH in Unity! My metamask is connected So am I right in understanding that currently I can call a function to check my balance call a function to see what nfts I have but there's no function to sell an nft from within unity yet? Any insights on that ? I've never minted an nft but I'm thinking say I have a minted nft is there a way to make that available for others to purchase in play mode in unity? I mean now that I think about it, the wallet email trick is really useful, like I'm thinking maybe a buy function could also take them back to their email where there is a link to opensea or wherever ? I don't know I just feel like selling/buying nft's in vr will be fun would love your opinion on how to best go about this btw the discord invite is giving me a "Whoops unable to accept invite" but I would love to get on it

yes your understanding is spot on. as far as transactions go, yes in theory, it could be possible to do written transactions where you want to buy an nft and it generates an email, but im not entirely sure that is the best model from a UX perspective. at the same time, it would be costly to continuously be linking to a user's wallet for only periodic transactions. at the moment, wallet connect could be an option, but it is running into some of those issues regarding keeping lots of wallets connected. oh thanks for the heads up on the discord link : discord.com/invite/rV8fEAmG5B

for the short term free to use. but long term, they would be paid cause right now I am paying the costs to maintain the servers. im hoping to get the pricing details out in a few months

Hi there, May I please confirm that the current process is I need to remove my headset to confirm email or somehow access my email within VR. I still need to exit the Unity App to access this email right? Are we still in early days of real seemless integration with VR and Metamask where I can fire up my Unity App and have metamask pop up to auth?

you do not need to exit the unity app, just open the email on your phone. metamask doesnt exist on VR browsers
