Gauges are one of the most commonly used graphics on machine or automotive displays. If you want to easily show the machine’s state, such as a battery or fuel level, an easy way to do that is to use different colors in those respective gauges. Often, programmers would do this by layering multiple gauges on top of each other withing the IQAN program, but that then requires you to individually set them up to go on and off. However, a more manageable method is to utilize a state machine that is based upon certain conditions.
Another way to uniquely and precisely display machine information is through graphs. Starting in IQAN5, you are able to do translation based on math. For example, the circular bar graph show in the video is connected to the machine’s level sensor. So the center dot will move based on the value of that sensor, you can calculate what the screen position is based on the ring. So rather than a simplistic showing of the sensor information, you can actually show the exact degree through a dynamic image.
