I recommend getting the filter that goes on it.

You don't need a filter if you use low pressure hose for the big buddy
@scotts.26242 ай бұрын
@@roymurray2516 Depending on where the propane came from you do. If it comes from natural gas production then no you don't have to have it. However if its a byproduct from oil refining you do. The Propane that comes from oil refining has some oil in it and it will eventually clog the pilot light.

What was that propane line originally for? I don't have that extra line in my rv so I am either going to have to add another line or "T" into my heater or stove line.
@mikehaduck-travel-mechanic8847 ай бұрын
It was for the gas stove and water heater
@prohomevideos7 ай бұрын
@@mikehaduck-travel-mechanic884 ok thanks. I still need those two lines so I will have to figure out a way to "T" into the line.

I have a big propane tank 120gal I’m unsure how to adjust the regulator if I get the same problem that you got :/
@prohomevideosАй бұрын
@@marixaacevedo8498 On the regulator, there is usually a plastic cap you unscrew that give you access to the regulator adjustment.

Thanks for your video. I’ve tried to connect the small Mr heater to my RV gas line but it seems like there’s not enough gas to keep it lit. The pilot comes on, but when I turn it to low, the light goes out. It works fine with a 20lb tank and hose. Maybe the small Mr heater won’t work that way? I don’t know. I’ve connected it to the old gas/electric refrigerator hose connection I took out and I’ve connected it to my hot water heater gas line. Same thing. It’s disheartening to do all that work and not have it work. Any ideas? Maybe only the big Buddy heater will work with this set up. Don’t know.

Hi fish, I don't know the guy who helped me adjusted the flow from the tank and then it worked,
@chachi59753 жыл бұрын
It doesn't work because there's two regulators in the system. One on the RV at the tank and one on the heater itself. If you have the Big Buddy heater it is equipped with a quick connect that will bypass the regulator and allow use of the low pressure connections of the RV.

Propane systems for residential are two stage, tank regulator 11psi and house regulator 11wc . The micro tanks that screw in are full pressure (50psi depending on how warm it is) and are regulated inside the heater. And yes I believe quick connect on big buddy needs to be regulated from a second stage.

Informative video, your friend is a good guy. Do you have a propane gas detector in the RV? We need our favorite mason healthy and safe.
