Now that we finished our portable solar mount build... it's time to test it out!
We plan to start our cabin build in Montana in the spring of 2023. We have some very exciting plans in the works!

If you ever get some really awesome sun, there is a strong chance you will overvoltage the 150V max input of your ecoflow. You will most likely. need to go a max of (3) panels in series and then buy (2) more panels to make another set of 3 and then connect them in parallel.

Thanks for the feedback! We had the same concern. The panels produce a max of 47 Volts / 11 Amps (without bifacial gain). As far as I can tell the Ecoflow has a max input of 150 Volts /15 Amps. I'm afraid I'd input too many Amps using 2 series sets in parallel.

@@bigskyoffgrid , you can put in too much voltage but the solar generator will only drink as many amps as it can take. Cant have too many amps.

Great Review. Just a concern, you might want to be aware that these batteries have limitations on too cold and too hot temps. Might charge better inside the trailer, where it's better protected. Someone else did a review on Delta Max and complained because battery kept shutting down because of too cold temps. Might want to check the specs.

Thanks for watching! Definitely! Lithium batteries are not good at charging under 32 degrees F. We will definitely keep them warm this winter. Fortunately they haven't been too hot this summer, even with the 90 degree days. We have an upcoming video with more Ecoflow content in the coming weeks :)

If there is any confusion with cable colours add coloured tape or heatshrink. A turn of tape costs pennies an Ecoflow costs more!

That is a great suggestion, we'd going to go find some electrical tape to put on the negative. Thanks!

No big deal on color of wire as long as you have a multimeter. Nice array! Nice job!

What are those ground mounts?

Sort of, they are "portable" ground mounts. We custom fabricated them this winter. Thanks for watching!

I hope you checked the open voltage on your solar panels to make sure you didn’t go over the the limit! You do this with the multi meter before you plug it in to your Eco flow.

We opted to use 3 in series to stay under the 150v limit on the Ecoflow. If we tie the 4th in or use 2 sets in parallel I'm afraid we'd go past the recommended volts or amps. Thanks the feedback and watching the video!

new to u channel , ill be following as were doing similar , i have the delta flow max and considering the additional batteries / not sure if its the best choice as i heard something about the number of recharges that wasnt great of these batteries , this will be used 24/7 basically , maybe i should build a more permanent one ?

We are in a similar boat. We've invested in the Ecoflow portable products, but we'd like a more permanent solution. We like their in-home power system a lot. Also looking into systems like this one: www.ambitionstrikes.com/offgridpower A lot of it boils down to budget and time available. Ecoflow provides really great turn-key solutions. You might save a bit by building a more custom system yourself though.

Thanks for the feedback! We used these sites to determine the appropriate winter angle for Montana. If you have a better method of calculation we would appreciate any suggestions. The mounts are adjustable for anything less than 65 degrees. www.solarpaneltilt.com/ news.energysage.com/solar-panel-performance-orientation-angle/

@@bigskyoffgrid a quick way to set your panels is to find your latitude and set them to that angle. Montana is about 45degrees. Texas should be closer to 35. Yours look to be close to 80 degrees which would be good for Alaska, also on cloudy days the more the panels face the sky the more energy they collect. If you have folding panels you can play with the angle on them while watching your ecoflow and see the change in power input and use that as a start for your other panels.

Bro physics isn’t your strong suit. You need to angle the panels towards the sun.

The sun is not directly overhead in the winter, which is why you point the panels South at an angle. We used these sites to determine the appropriate winter angle for Montana.
