Loved his perspective on worship and prayer. Many times my practice has led into personal worship time to Jesus. I agree there should be a flow or fluency of these medleys, but it takes time to build just like a prayer life!

It is great seeing how good these guys play. But what I want to know is how does one get on the road to becoming as good as they are.......because just copying what they do wont get me there. Did he go to school for this? Does he know and is thinking Jazz theory?...i saw/heard a lot of 2-5-1s. What did he practice the most before becoming this good......

trascribing many other artist and just practicing ideas God gives you in your head. practice to perfect the craft God has gave you

and he's been doing this for a longggg time. so he's probably studying a lot of songs and people. It's all a process and a unique journey. no need to feel intimidated by other people with their own stories and journey. just take it day by day
@rayjgold2 жыл бұрын
@@zachariepierre8037 I agree. I think it helps with intimidation to know that a lot of these people went to school for this and practiced many hours a day for years. We dont sound like them because we did not go through what they went through. A lot of people think that watching videos and copying what we see will get us to the level of the people we are copying. It wont. It is more helpful to learn ideas and concepts to practice and make our own sound, than it is to just blindly copy what we see.

@@rayjgold irmão a maioria deles não foram a escola de música não, é apenas copiar, entender, aplicar e diversificar suas ideias baseadas no conceito estudado, é simples
@rayjgold Жыл бұрын
@@dietabrasiloficial I only know a hand full of great musicians that did not get training. Most of them went to school and studied behind other great musicians. who also went to school. You are at a disadvantage if you dont know what it is you are playing, period.

I try to play actual songs like that verses random chords for talk music. I only use the random chords when I can’t think of anything to play. 😃
