I've watched a ton of KZbin DIY solar systems getting prepped, constructed and hooked up. NONE have been as complete, easy-to-follow and encouraging as yours!!! Its obvious you're very comfortable with basic electricity and comfortable with the cross-over applications between public utility line work and DIY domestic system work. WOW!! Way to go!!

I am just amazed at the two of you. You have made building the cabin, shed and installing the solar system look so easy. Nothing seems to daunt you two. The children help and enjoy it as well. Can not wait for the starting up of the solar system. Well done. You can be proud with what you have achieved.

Just amazing to see a professional at work, Josh. How well planned the set up is and how neat and tidy the wiring!! But then I would not expect anything less from such a professional who makes it all look so straight forward and simple! I am confident that on the big switch on all will go like a dream!! Looking forward to it as you two will be too! Cheers

Not disappointed at all. Makes total sense. It's amazing how y'all have built your home and the little building and put this solar power in and explained everything all the way through. I'm sure you've helped many people out. Josh you may think your not perfect at putting this in but you could have fooled me. Can't wait to see you flip that breaker on and see the house light up. I'm sure y'all are very excited as well. Congrats to almost being to 100k subs.

for someone that is not an expert, the system is very impressive and you made putting it in look so easy. I do the same thing, waiting to turn on something when I am there to watch over it. Usually there is no problem but there is always that one time. Cannot wait to see it all work, no disappointment so far. Just great work. Best solar installation set of videos I have seen so far, will be keeping these saved for when I start to do mine.

Just an interested observer here in VA, but I truly have been educated with these videos. Props to both of you for the content, editing, and plain-spoken explanations. Thanks for sharing (especially your great chemistry during your builds) and keep up the great work. Ton of fans out here, rooting for you.

We had our 9.9kw system for 9 years before we sold our home. We had 48 panels on our two roofs. We produced 13 MW a year, just over 1MW per month. Solar is the way to go and it is so much cheaper now than 9 years ago. Congratulations. Expert work!

I can tell the layman terms to communicate is a struggle at times- BUT- you really ROCK in doing your best at telling those who are interested what we want and need to hear about these hook ups. The importance of proper crimp and shrink wrapping the terminals shows you put some VERY serious thought into not only on what you wanted but the content you conveyed!! You may struggle thinking it is or isn't important but it IS!! Very Impressive Josh!! You put many to shame on HOW to wire, WHERE connections go, And WHY the way you are doing that type of connecting is so important as to the equipment you chose to monitor your system! These are the tidbits That SOO many are contemplating the course of action when buying these systems and even though you may be in the electrical field you made it very interesting and truly educational for Us!! Thank you!!

A little electrical tape over your sockets and screw drivers while installing the high current cables would have kept me from leaning forward in my seat and getting sweaty! Give me high voltage over high current any day. High current low voltage is very dangerous for its ability to burn you severely before you could blink or drop the tool. An exploding battery pack is probably no fun either! Great installation job, Josh. You are a pro.
