I live in a busy city but there's a small patch of trees behind the businesses beside my apartment. I take my cat for a walk in there in the early morning hours. One morning, the trees there alerted me to the many poison ivy vines that are overtaking some of the trees and I've been cutting them free. I feel their gratitude as much as I felt their urgency and concern. This connection has been growing recently. I love it!

I have noticed that there will often be one tree by a playground whose branches reach out over the playground much more than those of other trees, unrelated to the direction of sunlight. I have concluded that these trees love children and want to connect and protect them. Has anyone else noticed this. Also, dandelions always make me happy wherever I see them!

HI Asia! I'm new here. One of my students recommended your channel and your book so I ran right over. I have loved the videos I've watched so far, especially the one about Contemplation as an Ancestral Skill - beautiful. So excited to connect. Thanks for all that you do, sister.

I love giving Reiki to the trees where I am resting at. Is this also a gift or do I have to bring something material? Much love ❤

That is definitely a gift as well! A gift is any way you show your love and compassion, and acknowledgment.

Animals are important too, and most humans feel easier to connect with them because our paradigm says that we are closer to them. BUT, this is about giving attention to Plants because they are just as sentient and full of compassion as we and animals, and they take care of ALL living beings by providing food, shelter, water, etc. You can think of it like this, Mother's Day is a time we set aside to appreciate the motherly figures in our lives. Celebrating this day doesn't diminish our fatherly figures at all, but it provides a reminder for ourselves and our motherly figures that we care and appreciate all that they do by acknowledging them. Have a lovely week!
