@@UntimelyDeath Hi there. I downloaded the free FL studio version (file cannot be saved) and tried connecting the V8. It's the same process just like the audacity. First go to system preferences if you are using Mac and select the USB interface for the V8. Then open FL studio, click the audio settings and select again the USB interface for v8. Then select audio input to start recording. Choose mono if you will be recording many tracks. Then start recording by clicking the red button.

hello, thank you for this but i seem to be having a problem i cant find the solution to. whenever im recording a vocal track with a separate track for the bg music in audacity, the vocal track is also recording the bg music? im very confused this didnt happen before i used the v8 soundcard, do you happen to know why? thank youu :))

Hi Kaelyn, you need to watch starting 12:20 of the video. You need to change the settings in audacity from USB (v8 sound card) to Built in output. Then pull out the earphones from v8 and plug in to your computer. Then press shift r (MAC) for the overdubbing. When you press shift r, the music will play and you will hear it from your earphones, then record your voice. In that way, voice only will be recorded on the 2nd track (vocal track). Sir is it possible to record another track habang naririnig yung own vocals mo? kasi kapag sa laptop lang naka saksak yung headset ko hindi ko na marinig boses ko na nanggagaling sa v8. What I want sana is habang naririnig yung backtrack ay naririnig din yung own vocals.

I apologize for responding only now. Basing from the video, I have recorded first the guitar then vocal. If you would like to add 3rd track, got to "tracks" then "add new" then choose the mono track. After doing it, 3rd track will appear then press the record (red) button. If your headphone is connected to the laptop then you should be hearing sounds from track 1 and 2. If you recorded guitar on track 1 and vocal on track 2, you should be hearing both while recording track 3. This is just one of the ways to do it. Just try it because it works for me. If not, let's sort out your audacity settings. Thanks for engaging.

Hi sir. If you are going to record using V8, you can connect your mobile phone to live 1 or live 2 and use the video. You can sing and play the guitar at the same time, there is no latency issue when you record it.
