Chris thank you for giving me Kudos on Sunday. I really appreciated it man. Bro you do such a good job of interviewing runners. Keep putting out the content man.

In the first few minutes, Conner is describing the premise of the book The Infinite Game. One victory is big and you celebrate, but life goes on and it’s on to the next goal.

Great interview and conversation. So fun to listen to somebody who is just honest about everything. No embellishment...just honest conversation. Congrats to Conner for breaking the American Half Marathon Record.

Conner, please don't separate from Clayton. You two both bring out the best in each other.

What a delightful and modest guy and a lovely interview. I’ve really enjoyed this series Chris well done and great production values too. Joe, Clayton and Conner……but as an Aussie/Kiwi I was rooting for Morgan. 😂

How can one break it down for longer than the race was

they covered training, the race, recovery, his perspective, answered listener questions… the record he broke stood for nearly 20 years!

I just can’t understand why Gobena was not disqualified. He probably saw Mantz’s recent race where Addisu Yihune pushed Mantz in to a fence to win an additional $5000 at the beach to beacon 10k and nothing was done about it so he knew that crash tackling Mantz at the finish is fine in America.

@@J.e.f.f.r.e.y Connor is just too good of a person and these people continue to take advantage of that fact. I’m tired of seeing him getting taken advantage of by these shady individuals.

Conner Mantz should race Grant Fisher in a distance split right in between a 10k and half marathon. A distance of 9.66 miles.
@Pingpongeditz121512 күн бұрын
Grant fisher would win easily. Connor is a marathoner and Grant is a 10k guy so actually half marathon is the middle. So actually I would like to see grant fisher run a half marathon, I think he has a decent shot at the American record himself. I still give Connor the slight edge in a half, but in a 9 mile race it is much closer to grants wheelhouse
@Persistence_run_44412 күн бұрын
Conner was pushed at the end. Plain as day.
@chrisjenkins2038 күн бұрын
Yup, Gobena should’ve been DQ’d and possibly banned from participating in future races.
@chrisjenkins2038 күн бұрын
We CANNOT just ignore the elephant in the room and pretend that Connor wasn’t bullied out of winning. Gobena should’ve been DQ’d, plain and simple.
@barnabasbucao8712 күн бұрын
At a minimum Gobena had terrible sportsmanship. The speeding up and slowing down and blocking wasn’t just at the end obviously.
@chrisjenkins2038 күн бұрын
And let’s not forget the actual push and intentional blocking he did, which impeded Connor’s lane and slowed down Connor’s forward momentum.

Connor got bullied at the finish. It is what it is.
