America's Dusty, CC is elite tier.... Motown should have made her massive. Like Dusty Connie could stand on any stage and not only hold her own, but win black audiences over. This sister had it all...

I bought this in 74/75 from a Seller in Middleton, Manchester. Paid the princely sum of £22, which back then was a fair whack of cash. Sold it a couple of years later and I think I got around £30. Fetching circa £1,500 these days.... IF ONLY WE KNEW THEN, WHAT WE KNOW NOW, EH? The pittances I got for some cracking originals back then... Lou Pride - I'm Com'un Home In The Morn'un... Tomangoes - I Really Love You... Duke Browner - Crying Over You... Luther Ingram - Exus Trek... To name a few.

@@clivegreen441 We live and learn.. LOL! The best thing that did happen for me, was having Holly St. James - That's Not Love and not being able to sell it. I couldn't even give it away! Then it became a massive sound. I paid £4.00 for it. In fact, I didn't even pay owt really, I did a swap for a pressing of Mike Post that I was selling at the Casino... Bet the lad that swapped regrets it.

Frank Wilson wrote, arrange and produced my sugar baby by Connie Clarke, like I said in a previous comment its highly likely they moonlighted the whole production as frank had been scuppered with the release of Do I love you by Berry Gordy Jnr somehow I think Frank was on a more soulful level of music, (which was steered towards being uptempo) than the rest of the Motown sound,

Pity you don't want the real thing . I play on origanals when out I do it because people who go deserve to hear the real thing. British or American or Canadian origanals any one can buy boot legs & pressing your doing is conning people out of the hard earned working class wages. money. You will never play a decent venue with that attitude because people now want to see it on a camera deck. If you want to hear & see the real thing come to Nuneaton allnighter.where I have DJ edfor 15 years.

When will people stop citing "Mr. M's"? It was an oldies room, playing records that had already been massive, sometimes several years earlier. It has absolutely no relevance to the history of a record. You may as well lay claim to an old film from when you personally watched it on TV. :-(
