I love this song and the woman behind it more than words can express. It’s heartbreaking that she never fully surmounted that tragedy of 1974, but the way all her pain is etched into her vocal cords creates a raw, haunting beauty that captivates me even more than Whitney Houston’s comeback. Unlike Whitney, Connie wasn’t responsible for any of the numerous hardships she's faced throughout her life, which makes her resilience and artistry all the more remarkable.

The fact that Connie Francis is not in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is a shame.

"I'm Me Again" a brilliant Connie Francis anthem of a performance, in better musical times than 1980 would have been deserved blockbuster hit and deserving of Grammy Award...past time for Connie Francis Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction!

This song is so wonderful on so many levels. It speaks to those who have had times when they were so fragile, but became and reclaimed the person they were.❤

This song was first released on the MGM label in 1980, and it was re-released on Polydor that same year. This was her final single for the MGM label until it folded into Polydor. It was included on her final album for the MGM label entitled “I’m Me Again: Silver Anniversary Album” In 1981 where it features a collection of her greatest hits, and a few new songs. Unfortunately, this song never charted. Connie Francis had a string of hits back in the 1950’s and the 1960’s, but this song was unsuccessful.

MGM really did not exist when this LP was released, although it f=doe shave the mGM label. They opened up the MGM catalog for Connie and gave it a MGM catalog number.
