Connie's Cancer Journey/New Chemo/Cycle 1 of 4

This video will give an overview the new chemotherapy treatment cycle - Epirubicin (Red Devil) and Cyclophosphamide. I will receive this treatment cycle every three weeks (21-day cycle).
I received this chemo regimen November 27. By the time this video is posted, it will be one week from the time I started this new cycle. I have three more treatments of this cycle and my chemo treatment will be complete.
One of the most important side effects of epirubicin is that it can cause severe heart problems. One week out from chemo, December 4, I was scheduled for an echocardiogram of my heart and blood work. The results of my echocardiogram were good and I can continue my next treatment in two weeks.
The treatment automatically went to work and did what it was supposed to do...lowered my blood count within the one week I received chemo. Three weeks (21-day cycle) in between my treatment cycle will be recovery time.

How are you? I start this chemo on Wednesday and I'm so nervous. Just finished palictaxol and was pretty ok but this is what I'm scared of the most 😢
