Thank you once again, Connie, for all your hard work. I’ve used tumble dryer sheets for years in the craft room. A new one rubbed over the cutting side of a die helps the paper/card release much easier, especially the really intricate ones. The sheet can be reused until it’s dry, but you can keep it going longer by popping it in an air tight container. Xx

Great tips, Connie. The bokeh background is gorgeous! Quick question: do you ever find it difficult to peel the red rubber stamps back off the inside of the case, especially if you haven’t used them for several months? I know they can be hard to remove from the acrylic blocks if they are left too long, so I have never wanted to stick them to the inside of the case lest the same thing happen.

Katherine, I really don't. But I think it depends on climate. If I do have one that is really stuck I use the spatula end of the Take Your Pick Too.

Somehow I got talked in to being part of a parents' night at a preschool. I was supposed to do something simple and artsy with the preschoolers, so I used a version of your old eyeshadow trick. I pre-stamped a pile of little white squares of cardstock with happy faces. Then I grabbed a bag of cotton balls and my chalk palette. Each child could rub their cotton ball in the chalk of their choice and then rub it on the cardstock to make the invisible picture appear! Very cheap but fun project!

I just love watching your videos! You have the neatest ideas and you inspire me! So here's a question for you: you mentioned in one of your videos that you move your dies to magnetic sheets and store them. What do you do with the very sturdy, clear plastic envelopes these dies arrive in from Stampin Up? I repackage mine as well and haven't been able to come up with any good ideas. The wider envelopes might hold the 6x6 DSP, but what about the narrower envelopes? Any suggestions?
@simplysimplestamping2 жыл бұрын
Evelyn, I store them in a box. When they retire, I put them back in the plastic envelopes and sell them.

I love the junk mail hack, but I I'm assuming if I use junk mail on cards I cannot sell them due to copywrite issues, right? Maybe the intricate die cut one as it's not recognizable, but it's not ok to use a portion of a photo (say a bird or flower)... or is it?

Question: I purchased some used ink pads and I have been purchasing the ink refills for the ink pads I have. I have completed the neutrals, regals, most of the brights and subtitles. I will have to buy a few new ones she didn't sell me. So, now I have about 20 ink pads with little or no ink them that are retired and no longer have refills. Do you have an upcycle idea for these ink pad cases or do you just throw them in recycling or the trash?

Some useful ideas here. That piece of release paper all the dimensionals were stuck to? If you're die cutting a complicated die, use a roller glue on the back of the card BEFORE cutting, and use the release paper so it doesn't stick to the plate. And you've made a self adhesive sticker! You can even leave the backing on it and save it for later use.
