I love her voice. Her voice made her so memorable as the Romulan Commander on Star Trek.

Joanne Linville will forever be in my memory as the Romulan Commander on Star Trek's "The Enterprise Incident." Brilliant performance with a superior script !! Anyone who got trained by Joanne was fortunate to have known her.

Like others on this thread I "discovered" Joanne Linville on "The Enterprise Incident" on Star Trek. It was an outstanding performance and revealed a magnetic, and talented actress. The performance is completely arresting. What an amazing gift to the world that, having acted, she heeded the advice to teach. Oh my goodness! Brava Joanne and Thank you!

I've loved Joanne Linville for 30 years. I absolutely think she could take any TV role she was given, on any TV show and add something to the part. She really is a fantastic actor.

Seen it fifteen times, and it never gets old. Btw, the guy that played Lincoln was also superb, in just a tiny role. Joanne Linville and Rod Serling, RIP.

First saw her work in One Step Beyond. Was a fan ever since. RIP beautiful Joanne. In the AP's "Final goodbye: Recalling influential people who died in 2021," they left out Joanne.

That scene where on Star Trek where she learns Spock "used her" - the emotion she shows in her face of being hurt (just before she slaps his face) shows so much range. I could feel her anger at him through the screen. Just a great piece of acting. Also, very attractive in that Star Trek uniform.

Joanne is a brilliant lady and talented actress who is full of so much wisdom. The woman interviewing Joanne seems to have attention deficit disorder and keeps continually cutting her off and speaking over her. Every word Joanne says is gold and the interviewer should have let her finish her thoughts.

... Ms. Linville , had such an intense presence in her part as" Professor Pat Reed," in The Invaders episode "The Pit" She plays the wife of actor Charles Aidman, a scientist who goes mad thinking the aliens have infiltrated his research Lab. She is a true actress of the 60's. You cannot take your eyes off of her portrayal of the saddened wife of a mentally disturbed Man. In my eyes an award winning performance.

You're a relative of wonderful Joanne Linville? Lucky you!! Most people who admire her work missed her tiny bit in THE GODDESS, Portrait of a Young Woman, where Kim Stanley walks into a restaurant and sits in the booth with two other actresses (Joyce Van Patten, I think was the one she spoke to,). But the other dark haired actress, seen from the back, says, "Dutch Seymour called, right after you left.." Then she gets up and walks away. And Kim Stanley (Rita) says something about her room-mate's drinking..but what is amazing is that Joanne Linville with almost no dialogue at all, still manages to convey the loss, the despair, the sense of futility that a failed starlet might in fact express. I have always remembered that. And even if I weren't a former actor's agent..I always acknowledge fine acting when I see it. Ms. Linville is one of my super faves - and always will be!!
