I was born in 2002 and it’s crazy to know that I’m now older than anyone who gets drafted into the league. I’m an Islanders fan and I looked up to John Tavares as a kid. Was crushed to my core when he left in July 2018. Now Mathew Barzal is the guy that most young Islanders fans look up to.

This kid has a wicked shot and that will be his bread and butter , he moves well in the zone and is a very good skater. He shoots his shot when other players would wait for a better opportunity to let it go . His shot reminds me of cole caufields . Shoots at angles that shouldn’t go in and with the toe-drag it’s very deceptive to goalies and shot -blockers. This is going to be exciting 👍

Yes Connor Bedard is a great player who just won the Calder Trophy. You RARELY see him smile and laugh. The reason why I like someone such as Cole Caufield so much is because he smiles and laughs. Sportsnet did a great interview with him in 2023.
