Enjoyable match. They both prove you can applaud your opponent and still play your game.

Sock will have trouble getting any further than Quarter finals in singles unless he develops a consistent baseline backhand.
@sallad264510 ай бұрын
Yeah it's tough watching him run around to the forehand and completely whiffing the shot.

He did the same crap in tennis too and his lazy behind thinks he can still get away with it here 🤦🏾♂️

It cost him maybe 2 points but also won him 2 or 3. It's not really a weakness.

Does sock know how to hit a backhand?
@voiceofreason923810 ай бұрын
Sure Sock can hit a backhand. But if your backhand percentage is 75% and your forehand is 80% then you run around your backhand to hit the higher percentage shot. Note: The % I listed ^^^ is completely made up, just trying to illustrate the importance of playing percentage Pickleball.
@Renavatio258610 ай бұрын
@@voiceofreason9238Sure he can try and play the forehand percentage, but tactically that is a terrible idea to consistently do. At least if you’re gonna play this or tennis at a PRO level. Players are too good to not notice what you’re doing and exploit it
@voiceofreason923810 ай бұрын
@@Renavatio2586Jack Sock was a world top ten doubles tennis pro and he was successful running around his backhand. At our level if I see someone running around their backhand I hit EVERYTHING to the backhand. They won't even see a forehand. Why? Percentages. :)

Why would anybody hit to Sock's forehand? Sock should be forced to live trying to run around to hit his forehand! Who coaches Garnett why the hell would he return his forehand to Sock's forehand! Some of these guys just run around and play doesn't seem to be any strategy involved just going to rely on talent not brains!
