I think my favorite part of his performance is how he literally becomes Connor. When he's alone waiting, he does idle movements like rubbing his hands together, adjusting his clothing, looking around, adjusting the items in the environment, and he does every single one of them in character. When the people running it tell him he's got one minute, he responds in character with "Copy" and he always reacts to the sirens or the situation at the end of the scene like its never happened before. He could take breaks in between groups, but he just remains Connor. It's so amazing.

I think while it is definitely a challenge, it also makes many things easier. When he's playing Connor, he has to *be* Connor, he has to think like Connor to determine the appropriate reaction. Getting all the little movements, the fine details, the way he walks, the way he talks, his manners, everything that makes the character feel real, alive, relatable, is possible only if he stays in that mindset. Periodically breaking character after each session would not make that easy. For performances that heavily rely on improvisation, you can't pull off a character like Connor out of nowhere, he's way too detailed and comlex for that.

But staying in character for two hours straight, without breaking it once, not a for a single word, really is hard. It shows how great an actor he is.

I love how despite the crew behind the scenes while in a small break tell Bryan that he can relax and go out of character for a bit, he continues to stay in character and respond back as if he was Connor. That’s honestly really epic that he’s that dedicated that he still, without being told to, he continues to play his role. Tbh as a person who really wants to become an actor in the future, I would love to have that same dedication.

i used to be obsessed with detroit become human back in 2018 when it came out, and here i am in 2022, still fascinated by it, more specifically bryan's performance as connor. i have watched some of his other previous works too, and WOW i guess he's just always been that good at his profession. i've never watched this video until today and it is simply even more evidence for how committed he is to staying in character, even during downtime. i doubt anyone will read this considering i'm commenting on a very old video, but, bryan, i really love your work man! and i'm glad that someone so genuine and awesome was chosen to play the role of connor ❤️ love the positive community you and amelia have built on twitch as well.

I absolutely love it when actors embrace their characters. For example, Michael Mando totally nailed his part as Vaas Montenegro, and he brought the character alive in the best, most terrifying ways. It's so interesting to see him play Connor live! 'Cause they alter the models, tiny little tweaks that, while you can immediately recognise the source actor, the characters do look visibly different from the actors. But it's the acting that really solidifies the characters. It's not enough that Connor doesn't look exactly like Bryan; it's that you have to sell that Connor is a separate person. And Bryan did that spectacularly.
