@@system3008 Because reacting negative might have the opposite effect on a neutral man and make him hostile. Anyways, that’s just my assumption that you can make a crazy man out of anyone. I don’t know about dangerous. Based on his behavior, he likely has some type of disorder but he wasn’t malicious. As far as not reacting negatively, they did react negatively. Positively would be approving of his actions, neutrally would be just not doing anything, and negatively is disapproving of that behavior. They clearly told him it’s not the place for this and told him To leave the stage. In the discussion of not escalate things, It’s not about negativity, but rather not being aggressive because aggressive behavior leads to hostility and often violence.

For those who saw the clip I can 100% confirm (as I was there as both a volunteer and con wanderer) he was taken and escorted out of the building by security which they were hoping the police would be there as they usually are there at all events if situations like this happen, but unfortunately he ran away which is why the fine and charged was done the next day as you actually put your details on the website to get a ticket in, so in all honesty he made it easy for himself to be done which is his own fault, but ironically it’s also not his first time being a dick to MCM staff and participants as he was banned a while back from future conventions when he would belittle those who were in cosplay while they took professional photos in booths, but he was taken off the register when new management took over. Now as a volunteer for the events you are given strict procedures on what you can and can’t do stuff from “don’t leave designated posts” to “not harassing guests on panels asking for selfies and autographs” (yes people do that) but the major one you’re told is “you aren’t security you are ushers”, so the fact the boys acted while dealing with him was extremely amazing as it was hard for those watching and those wanting him off the stage ASAP. Also to add on to those who were worrying if he had a weapon or snuck one in, don’t worry you are given a search (pat down) and bag check before moving into the building.

Permanently. They clearly dont care much about their show runners - doing the absolute bare minimum for security, and yes sneaking a weapon past a pat down is absurdly easy - so why should anyone care about MCM anymore? Having such lax security honestly utterly defeats the entire point of the venue all together. This shouldn't even come close to happening. The dude shouldn't of even be able to get near the stage let alone on it. Regardless of how popular those on stage are at that.
@LadyViolet12 жыл бұрын
Should there be more security? Absolutely. Should the staff have intervened? Not necessarily. The staff aren't security, and they have every right to safety just as much as the boys; they're just doing what they're meant to and nothing they aren't trained for. There are even volunteers there, and they certainly shouldn't be randomly set to go haul some stagebomber off stage. For security two security guards should be enough to haul away anyone that tries to get on stage without permission. That doesn't seem like a lot, but most people aren't like that crazy guy, so you don't really need more for a panel. Maybe a third or fourth to be able to stick around while the other two haul one guy away if you're cautious.

The teacher analogy is spot on. My teachers used to just told us that you're welcome to go to the coffee shop if you wanna talk during class. lol good times
@obake62902 жыл бұрын
idk, my teachers used to say that as well. Problem is, that's a false invitation. Classroom attendance is mandated by law. The students can't just go somewhere else. Unless your talking about college, but then you don't really have that problem there in my experience. It's opt-in rather than compulsory, and the students are now adults who will just not show up if they don't want to be there.
@amirulfadhil36582 жыл бұрын
@@obake6290 Oh, of course my teachers don't actually meant what they said, it's just a sarcastic way of telling us to shut up. Like Chris said here, there's this sense of shame if the teacher told you to do that lol. And of course, skipping class is never good. Always attend your classes, people.

I was playing a show once and when I came off stage everybody kept talking about a stage invader doing cartwheels next to me before being dragged off. I had somehow missed the whole damn thing and was slightly disappointed to hear what I’d missed out on! :) Well handled all.
@kittysgamingworld2 жыл бұрын
honestly i think the whole thing was well handled. especially when you don't know the person and he's running to the stage. you never know what's gonna happen. if you escalate it you don't know how far that person can go. and of course there's always the question of...does he have a concealed weapon/is he violent. so yeah at the end of the day you just stay nice but try to convey the message that this is not the place and they're not wanted there. Worst case you do it by saying something along the lines of...."let's talk about it later at my booth in the exhibition hall" and make sure to let security know what happened so they keep him out.

What I heard is that security was not inside the con but were all outside, hence why the guy could jump up in the first place

@@alexthao06 Absolutely ridiculous. There should always be at least one guard at these panels. This guy could've been off his rocker, and actually hurt them. If I were the boys, I'd have filed a complaint against the con runners.

Joey was looking around after the guy came on hoping someone would do something for him to get rid of the guy lol. He was feeling powerless in that moment.

The fact that this even happened in the first place is horrible. Doesn't matter if nothing happened this time. These guys are known by millions of people, you never know what knid of idiots jumps up on stage and potentially start to attack them or try to even kill them.

Good deserved who in their right mind would think it's okay to jump in on stage, he was probably toasted. As an American when you come here please have a ton of security because their are assholes like him that ruins awesome things.

I mean all the fans have a hope of someday sitting with the boys. It's the weird parasocial relationship thing. Most just recognize it's an unrealistic dream. I don't think this guy had any bad intent, he looked like he was having a blast, even though yeah ofc what he did was rude and disruptive and stupid. There's no need to villify him, he got his punishment and that's that.
