Yup, there's nothing metal in this stuff, nor epic as it was defined back in the 80ies, except for the mid-tempo, which was really used back in the days when Manowar/Virgin Steele/Manilla Road and others "promoted" that subgenre. No matter how many times, or how many ways I've heard this song, I love it. Spoiler alert: I've never seen the movie. This guy's voice is just unbelievable in its' range. From normal tones to screaming highs, it just adds so much. The guitar adds a lot of power to an already powerful chord progression. The solo was great, too. A very well-done variant to this song.

It was prevalent all through the seventies and eighties. Loud screaming guitar chords coupled with great singing. That was metal - metal means guitar, no matter what some young person says, they weren't there to see or hear. Basically real metal died around the end of the eighties. After that, there was a shit storm of crap calling themselves "metal" 🙄 No real screaming guitar chords. Then there's groups that have no melodic chords that just have garbled yelling. It's a total affront to all the senses and to all real metal groups that came before them.. Real metal is original metal not some alternative group that's hitched their ass to the metal bandwagon. Ask Black Sabbath Judas Priest and Iron Maiden what they think of all these, so called metal groups, in the last 20 or so years. Conner (guitarist) totally embodies what metal really is and same with the singer Anthony. Great duo two thumbs up for still representing real metal. Thank you both ♥️🤘🎤🎸

I really appreciate this song. As a dad of 3 little girls that love this song, hearing them sing this song, truly touches my heart. Being a metal head, they love when I jam to this song when they are singing through my PA. I just find that my opinion of "Epic Metal" is VERY different than others.
