Everyone probably watches this after seeing your lawn a couple years ago in its prime I think and wonder what happened. I watch cause your keeping it real! I have a saying that everyones lawn will shine in time. Some early season some late season some next year and so on. I am going to rip mine out in a week or so and start over. Its 30 years old and a mole has taken over the last 6 years. Its the passion that interests me. You have the passion!

Looks like you have a sprinkler head that is not rotating at that dry spot, might try replacing it. Can't wait for that lawn to mature, is going to look great! I used everest in my seed mix on the front lawn a few years back and its way better than the backyard where I used other elite bluegrasses but not everest, its an awesome cultivar.

I bought a machine very similar to that and it's paid for itself just in time savings in a few seasons. Was it expensive? Absolutely but I have 35,000 square feet of turfgrass and that spreader/top dresser is truly a life saver. I just put down 700 pounds of granular humic down and it was a one shot, no refill, in and out, job.

I have a peat moss roller. It does an excellent job spreading but it get annoying having to keep dumping wood chips out of it. With the size of your yard, you would end up with a 6 foot pile of wood chips.

Height of first mow... my thoughts: First a little bit higher (not too high) to let roots develop quicker and deeper, then go lower. ... no idea if that's a good idea, but that's how I'm doing it. But, I still have some problems with weeds and spots with bad quality.

what if you just took like a plastic barrel or something with a lid like a metal trash can and put the humic acid and the seed in it, and then rolled it around on its side a few times up and down the driveway? That would mix it up pretty good and save your arm and shovel!

Connor, just curious, being that poa triv is your pain point, why did you not give Scotts Pro Vista KBG a go vs the Everest? It is not impacted by Glyphosate, so you can now have your dream perfect lawn. Was that just too much of an easy out for you, being able to just spray it 3 times a year, and having a 100% monostand? I was thinking about going with it, but now that you chose to stick with Everest, I am a bit concerned there is something wrong with it potentially. Could you speak to it in a video potentially if it is a more detailed answer?
