Holyfield's headbutt's were definitely intentional. He had been doing it in many of his fights and did it in both of his fights with Tyson.
@Jack_804 жыл бұрын
exactly, it pissed me off so bad when he said it was nothing intentional. i can't even watch boxing because of all the dirty shit and the ref never says shit. holding is not even legal in boxing yet i've seen numerous fights where someone does it the entire fight and their opponent can't even throw a punch cuz their being held constantly. they should be warned, have points deducted, and get disqualified if they refuse to stop, but for whatever reason the refs in boxing rarely enforce that rule. lewis did the exact same thing against tyson, wish he woulda bit his fkn ear off too. they both knew they'd get knocked out if they didn't cheat and they knew the ref wouldn't say shit cuz they never do.

Chael, I've said it before and have to say it again, I love listening to you talk about MMA. Your analyzation of each fighter, particular matches, etc. . .always gives me so much more understanding of the game. Not only that but it's done in a way that is in depth yet still understandable for most and every video gives me something new that i didn't think of before or that i didn't know. I can't think of one video yet that I wasn't in agreement with you....which NEVER happens when it comes to MMA/UFC talk. Even when the subject is about a fighter I dislike, I always have to concede to what you say about them because your points back up each argument with facts and common sense, some things I wouldn't have known as clear as you explained it. And you seem completely unbiased, which (especially when it comes to people like Conor McGregor for example) is truly a rarity in this sport, even with a decent amount of sportscasters. . . Thanks for doing these and I hope you continue and have great success with it.

Exactly right! Im a little league football coach and my first year as HC all preseason I taught my line head on contact, but our first game, the other team would either block left or right of the player in front, both offensive and Defensive. It broke us the first series and end of the game 50+ to 0, not one pass got thrown, not one hole opened for the backs. The next game we practice the same technique and won 50+ to 0 with a ton of sacks and our RB set a league record of 170 yards

Probably the most important piece of information for those who never did a combat sport to hear in order to understand what they’re seeing. As much as one trains the mental aspect is always paramount. I’m convinced that even the large amounts of training are more beneficial for ones mental preparation than for their physical. They look across the ring, mat, etc. and say to themselves I’ve trained for this or I’ve outrained my opponent. But when you get stunned with something you didn’t expect, the demons of doubt creep in and can topple the whole castle. I think Chael is spot on on this one. McGregor is the better fighter, but not as much better as it seemed from that fight. If they fought again, McGregor would win again but it would be a battle.

@christopherclark54154 жыл бұрын
Yes the flying Acromion is the technique perfected by the ancient Celtic warriors. This is the very sharp bone on the outer shoulder, attached to the fragile clavicle. It's a distant relative of the "bend and snap" technique developed by early humans school girls. McGregor couldn't have done this at 1:45 without fear of breaking something of a humerus bone. Very clever how he put every ounce of power from the hip pivot and lower core twist, driving it upward into the orbital bone and nose area with laser-like precision. Impressive.
@christopherclark54154 жыл бұрын
@erikcarrillo33 most notably the only one that's been caught on video in a professional MMA fight using it to break the nose and orbital bone rather than just a bump somebody and create a little distance to set up another move such as an elbow or uppercut. Menace Elmstreet bullies I thought that too, but Jon Jones is doing it different. Usually he’s taller then most opponents so he really doesn’t put power into it in order for his shoulder to reach someone’s chin. Connor on the other hand is shorter then Cerrone so what he was doing was bending down and literally jumping into this guy so Cerrone’s nose was pretty much getting hit with a bone backed up by the force of Conor’s full body jumping.
