Maybe but it seems more likely he is going the route of the comedian Kevin Hart, who is a marketing genius when it comes to his art. But fighters have a short shelf life, and for this venture to truly be a legacy he is going to have to make sure he and JKavanagh keep some amazing fighters on their roster. This channel can't just stay about himself. That being said CM has separated himself from other fighters with this media venture! Good for him! He has found a legal way around the UFC-approved/mandatory sponsorship (at least outside the octagon). I am pulling for Diaz at 202, but I am a fan of MMA first and foremost.

it's nothing new. bj penn did what he could with bjpenn.com. and joe lauzon has a youtube channel. but now the ufc has exponentially grown and any superstar could easily rack up hundreds of thousands or more of youtube subscribers. instead of promoting their twitter, producing and promoting youtube content would be more profitable.

Conor is looking really really sharp on his boxing. Conor will give the Featherweights and some of the Lightweights trouble after this fight, regardless if he wins or not. I still think Nathan's size and skill will win, but its gonna be a good fight. Anything can happen in a fight
@wurble8 жыл бұрын
Conor has fought at a crazy tempo in his last few fights. Would love to see him just settle down and set the kind of pace against Nate that he did against Holloway. Even though he got injured and went to a decision in that fight, it's one of his slickest performances imo.
@iiDefied8 жыл бұрын
Agree
@fightingtalkcm21748 жыл бұрын
I agree but he has to be proactive, max doesn't push the pace half as hard as Nate does
@stormguillen45588 жыл бұрын
+Fightingtalk Nate doesn't really push the pace that hard imo though. Nick is a tornado but Nate gives ground a lot and does wait to counter often. His jab is always active so I see what you're saying also. I think Conor's style makes Nate back pedal and be more defensive so who knows how it will go late in the fight especially if Conor can keep a good pace like he did with Max.
@fightingtalkcm21748 жыл бұрын
+Storm Guillen good points.I also think Conor should let Nate come after him and focus on countering him. In the last fight most of Conor's significant strikes were counter over hands and uppercuts.Nates jab was telegraphed but you could argue the point he will be sharper after a full camp
@eriksmith67728 жыл бұрын
Max was an under developed 21 year old during that fight. Nate will pressure him and not only by countering. Take a look at Nate vs Cerrone and you'll see that he does more than counter and just jab and move. He lands the same combos on Cerrone back to back several times especially the jab cross and jab cross hook.

Aye Mac, if your "top notch" coaches are too cool to tell you, stop backing out with your hands down to cover the body. It's the 1-2 to the chin you need to tighten up for. Eat that shot shot and respond with your power shot. Or get close enough to step off line and strike like to did Aldo.

He is too in love with the mirror and attention. Too proud of his money, for some reason bragging about your money annoys me more than any other bragging. But you know whatever. Everybody got to be themselves and have their own emotional problems or whatever. I know I would love to see Nate Diaz win again. Anything can happen in there. It's not like Nate has never lost.
