Let's be real though. The reason Conor is where he's at is, yes he put in a lot of work but other fighters put in as much work as him but they don't get the same treatment from the UFC or fans. Conor came in with the pride of a nation behind him because he was the only Irish fighter in the UFC that caused the UFC to promote him heavily which brought the attention of casual fans. People just like the way he looks and talks and fights which is mainly the season why he is where he's at. This the entertainment business, even Sonnen was one if the biggest stars of the sport yet he wasn't that elite. It doesn't natter about how much work vs showmanship. I don't deny that Conor deserves what he gets and he doesn't work hard but he can't discredit others for putting in the same amount if work or more.

Conor 'El Chapo' McGregor WTF are you on? Bisping is the middleweight champ not light heavy weight, he has walked into the octagon at around 190 a 195. Not 205 lmao, but I doubt Connor will ever jump to middleweight because he is a pussy, if he wins the title from Alvarez I doubt the pussy will be willing to defend against Khabib.

He should give it a rest. Nate wasn't that much bigger, but fuck that, what he said had a point, he was tired because he was heavier than usual, now it will be different and he won't get tired as quickly, 205 will have GREAT fights.

@villakuyt
@villakuyt 8 жыл бұрын
because its not true . Brian Stan said on a podcast that he saw Diaz was around 176 fight night , yeah he was bigger but it was 10 pounds maybe . Also Nate is a 55er same as Conor if he wants to call himself a 55er . And he didn't outlast him he gassed at the end of the second and the third caught his breath for the 4th while diaz couldn't see because he was all bloodied up from cuts and the 5th nate won . I'm not saying Conor didn't win he definitely won and he's better technically than Nate . So he's exaggerating a bit too much for media and to control the narrative which is an excellent strategy of building ur brand . I hope he wins but its not gonna be easy and we'll see how his cardio is which honestly looked terrible in the last fight if Alvarez can weather the first two rounds .
@grahamoriordan6539
@grahamoriordan6539 8 жыл бұрын
Na clearly bigger than 176, he cut a lot of weight to get on the scales, he would have put the majority back on overnight, they have longer to rehydrate now as they weigh in on the morning of weigh in day, they are already a couple or pounds heavier on the live weigh ins we see on youtube, so he could of easily got to 185
@Ozsii
@Ozsii 8 жыл бұрын
there is no way in hell diaz was 30 lbs heavier on fight night when he weighed 170 the night before. that would make him 200 lbs, not physically possible to put on 30 lbs in 1 day of water weight. if he drained himself before the fight of 30 lbs of water weight he'd be hospitalized with severe dehydration and facing death before the fight.

I love that people mock Conor fro spending 300k on his last camp. That camp included: Bringing ALL of his team from Ireland to Vegas to LIVE and TRAIN. Food accommodation, travel, an actual wage etc etc. Then people say he gassed after 8 minutes. Remember that Conor was fighting 2 WEIGHT CLASSES above his last fight. Of course he's not going to get as fit as he was against Holloway. Did you see him gassed at the end of that? No. He picked Max up with a smile on his face, bearly breaking a sweat. And 145 is a HARD cut for Conor. 155 is much more suited to him, sure it'll still be a cut but it'll be a much more natural one. If other fighters could spend 300k on a training camp and get some of the most scientific training, they would, but none of them can afford to do it. If you can afford the best why settle for anything else? As for Eddie. Eddie is a tough motherfucker. Anyone thinking this will be a cakewalk is mistaken. Conor keeps saying 1st round knockout. I highly doubt that will be that case. Eddie has insane power and stamina, and also has area where he outshines Conor massively and visa versa. Eddie is no joke, he'll bring it to Conor 110% and be met with the same. Don't be mistaken that Conor has no respect for Eddie, that's all for the media and to sell the biggest UFC in history. Both of them know that each of them are dangerous in various ways. I don't mind people taking sides for their favourite fighter, thats whats expected. But no respecting the opponent is just fucking stupid. These are 2 belt holders going head to head. Respect to both of them. I'm just hoping for a great fight from them both of them and peak performance. This will be one for the ages. One love!

"What is everyone else doing, no ones doing nuttin but talking. I'm the only one doing both, I'm talking but I'm fooooking working a helluva lot more than I'm talking." Here's what a couple other people have been doing in case you missed it somehow. MAX HOLLOWAY: 9-0 current UFC win streak, 6 finishes, one of if not the longest win streak with out a title shot,last loss was to McGregor who was unable to finish Max TONY FERGUSON: 11-1 UFC record, 8 exciting finishes, 8 fight win streak in the most competitive weight class in the UFC DOO HO CHOI: 16 fights 15 wins 12 KOs 1 Sub 1 Loss, only 3 fights in the UFC all KOs, can't deny he's been working more than he's been talking. CONOR MCGREGOR: Currently 1-0, began his UFC carreer with a 4-0 record, 3 KOS 1 decision, Conor was given the opportunity to face Denis Siver who was mysteriously placed in the top 10 for a chance at the title shot. Clearly you can see that Doo Ho Choi is almost tied with Conor's 4 fight way point now, being short just one decision win. Conor has certainly done a lot more talking than work. In fact he's done so much talking that it''s become work. It's actually so much work for him that he has attributed it to his submission loss to Diaz, and it was the main reason he cited for going into a short but very early retirement. Before the Diaz loss, Conor claimed to be the king of the media and said the media was easy. After the Diaz loss the media is overwhelming and distracting, no longer is it fun. Interestingly enough it was the media that made him, with out talking the way he talks and calling those early KO's he wouldn't be the star he is today. Obviously Both Max and Tony have done more work in the way of earning a title shot, not just over Conor but most active fighters in the UFC. Max has had more fights and wins than Conor since Conor joined the UFC in 2013 and Tony is just behind him.

@Robert Johnson, I'll have to rewatch (seen it twice) the fight and actually look for it. I don't recall seeing it, tho I do remember seeing him studying some of Mayweather's Sr. padwork combinations. So I don't doubt you could very well be right. @ Aceezy lol If you say so...

Simple Complexity - Simplistic difficulty He used it when Diaz had him against the cage. He didn't do it a lot but it helped him bounce the punches off the shoulders.

Robert Johnson Hey bro, I just rewatched rounds 2 & 3. I didn't witness any intentional employment of the Philly Shell by Conor. I could see the confusion tho. Certain positions may resemble it. Anyway, I just want Conor to whoop Eddie's ass lol. I don't want to see Conor get clipped by a shot due to him relying on a newly acquired defensive technique that was poorly implemented.

you have to give conor his credit, like him or not.. the dude does fight and doesn't shy away from the fights. he talks to get paid in a job that doesn't pay as much for fighting, like boxers or wrestlers get paid. fighting is one thing but the entertainment aspects of it is another. you tune in to watch him win or lose.. the point is you tune in. thats where the money is made. how many people tune in to watch him. he is a good fighter nonetheless.. I wasn't always a fan but he's earn my respect after the first Diaz fight..#HailConor #areyounotentertained #isntthatwhyyourehere
