A younger (though talented) artist, is of course going to look up to him and hang on to his words as scripture if you will. They are no doubt learning a lot from each other but I can't help but think Phoebe is still floating on cloud nine because of this opportunity.

I started off with Bright Eyes and have loved Conor's lyrics and voice for many years. I have seen him live too many times to mention. I found Phoebe in Santa Barbara when she opened for The National. Fell in love with her voice and lyrics. It was bliss to hear Conor on her album! 'These two sound amazing together. They are so talented. They look like they are in love! It's cute how they just stare at each other in the interview. Great album!

I've loved Conor forever, only discovered Phoebe last year and honestly haven't stopped listening to her since first glimmer. Check out the Boygenius album and then go down the rabbit holes of her fellow bandmembers Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus' work. Supergroup of Indie songwriters.

I love Phoebe's voice but not a fan of Oberst's voice. To be honest, I dislike most male folk singers' voices. The women sound sweet and calming and the guys always sound like nails on a chalkboard for the most part, imo. I hope Bridgers has a new solo album out this year also....
