Completely agree with you about Ramazani, for me the best player at the club. He’s a Leeds player, Solomon is simply here on loan. We need to use the talent we paid good money for.

Farke seems to think Ampadu is a capable right back. He got Rutter/Piroe all wrong for too long, he believes Meslier is the bee's knees and often gets substitution wrong, lineups wrong etc. I wouldn't want him anywhere near player retentions and incomings. Barely given Gnonto a chance, yet rates Bamford. Joseph is being treated abysmally. I question Farke's man management entirely.

Solomon is capable as a 10 so that Ramazani and James can be in the pitch at the same time, so 3 flyers to rip the opposition apart. Gnonto can do the same but FARKE not capable of using his squad. FARKE prefers to just throw 5 strikers on at the death taking off defenders. We have the same issues with Schmidt who was bought as a RB/LB but not used and this kid is able to play anywhere and has played CF. FARKE will use a midfeilder rather than bring Schmidt on

I fear Farke’s view on Ramazani is akin to the one he had of Rutter, namely that he prefers risk averse players over flair. He appears to dislike individual expressiveness, and much prefers the more stoic. Personally I feel there’s always a place for both types with a team, especially when the general output from Ramazani is top drawer.

There are so many squad issues that Farke does not/cannot manage. It is difficult to criticise (given Farke's record) but he is actually at his max. ceiling and fortunate he has had the players to bail him out of awful decision-making. He is in danger of pushing us into the play-offs again, and we will be relegated if we manage to get to the prem and he stays. He is a good Championship manager, but does not have the acumen or capacity for anything more.

It is possible to criticise his record, at least with Leeds. He failed last year to get us promoted when it was in our hands and his inflexibility will cost us promotion this year.

@@jasbo9734 I would tend to agree regarding inflexibility. As far as his record is concerned, I was also including his time at Norwich. I believe he cost us promotion last season, and is likely to this season also.

Totally agree with you on this Conor. Ramazzani was tearing the league apart before he got injured, and Scmidt has looked very competent for the few minutes we have seen him, he absolutely needs more game time. But Farke is a very stubborn manager, we do seem to attract them. And the mental illness I'm seeing not just in the fanbase but in society at large I think is worrying, but that's another story. Farke has his favourites. He is also inflexible. Don't expect anything different. We will end up with a repeat of last season where we fell at the last hurdle. It's amazing how many people criticise Farke and recognise his failings yet still cling on to the hope that he will change. Anyone thinking he will change is deluded.

I agree Solomon struggled for numerous games coming back for injury & he stuck with him through it. Ramazani one bad game not sharp doesn’t play any minutes afterwards such absolute favouritism. Solomon is the most form player so yes he should start but ramazani should be at least getting time off the bench. The attitude thing is a complete cop out that is always used when players don’t get played so many players with attitude problems. Ramazani will never get over his lack of match fitness without playing

"not farke's player"..... that explains a lot. if Messi was somehow presented to LUFC, Farke wouldnt play him. Several players are overlooked because they are not "farke players". We must remember that had Ampadu and Gruev not been simultaneously injured, we would have seen nothing of Tanaka and Rothwell - all season. Farke has no idea..... His in game errors continue to cost us points and will do for the rest of the season.

Wingers, we really should just be utilising them as per opposition and their defensive structure. I.e team ‘x’ plays a low block, DJ effectiveness basically becomes void. A Solomon, Ramazani who work between the half spaces much better suited. On the contrary, Shef Wed at home next up in the league, high line, DJ 100% starts. We have these options, depth and different profiles- we need to be wiser in selections. Same can be said in holding mid, striker, and FB….again if a team isn’t threatening our back 4 at all, why is Byram at left back, utilise Schmidt, who would be more suited in the final third, again you play Sam there if it’s a tricky away game

I think the Ramazani Solomon debate is based around wages. We are paying a huge wage for Solomon, to have him on the bench would be a waste of money. It's a bonus he's playing well. As for schmidt. Farke will always pick Byram over him. He's one of his favourites. Personally I'd love to see more of both ramazani and schmidt.

I’m glad you address the lack of Schmidt and Ramazani minutes, particularly Schmidt. I feel that a large portion of the fan base are all wondering the same things. The small amount of minutes he has had, he has looked very good. He looked good in his highlight videos prior coming to Leeds. With those favorable stats you mentioned, it does make you think that there might be some sort of personality issue the Manager has with him. Reminding me of Spence. Feels like he’s cutting his nose off to spite his face. Manager’s stubbornness frustrates. I think the fans want to see more of Schmidt. Ramazani absolutely needs to feature more too. He’s a Summerville-like weapon.

Not to be rude, Conor, but for once I really agree with your views today. It's frustrating we have like for like players on the bench and they don't get mins, how are they ever going to get up to speed with the league and match fitness. I was excited when we signed Schmitt but ain't seen him. Is Farke doing the Spence, Antony, Roberts situation where if they aren't his flavour they get very little mins? Its a crime to leave out Raminzani

Farkes treatment of certain players really winds me up. Moans about stuff then doesn't do what he's moaned about. He's dropped DJ after a MOM performance dropped Piroe ans Solomon after they scored twice. Not dropped Messlier after numerous mistakes. 80th min planned subs wind me up 93rd mins subs even more so. Total inflexibility of tactics and formation. Throw on 5 forwards when it's not going out way. Just don't think he's good enough. If we do get up we would get crucified in the PL with him.

I watched one game where manor Solomon scored an electric goal in the 69th minute and the whole team was fired up with this momentum and then Farke subbed him off in the 70th minute. It was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen in football. It was clear that he had pre planned that sub at the 70th minute - but the guy just scored and you take him off?? It was ridiculous

We don't need extra back up in defense we have 2nd best goals against record in league our problem is we are our worse enemy and let stupid goals in at set pieces but meslier is not helping matters what so ever I do not trust that kind any more. It's always nice to get more additions in to the team but if sign id get another keeper and just improve bench quality.

@Ghengiskhansmum yes but it works my point because our possession based football is good we limit the amount of chances we give but we are prone to silly mistakes at set pieces and does not help with meslier as I literally do not trust him no more as a keep he's made far to many mistakes and most of them are howlers. You can forgive a keeper making 1 mistake in a odd blue moon or or 2/3 in a season but he's made half a dozen at least which all of cost us points. Some times I think hes just complacent or better then what he thinks he his.

The issue with the Schmidt situation, is the fact Farke is ridiculously risk-averse. He will always prioritise defensive stability over anything else, hence Byram over Schmidt. That isn’t to say Schmidt is a poor defender, I think it just means he sees Byram as a better defender.. Hence Ampadu at RB as well. I’m not defending Farke by the way… I think he’s being completely ridiculous, he’s TOO risk averse!

Farke is doing what he always does, he sticks to his core players no matter how good the bench is. We are top of the league so in his mind his system is working why change it? We all know who should be playing and who shouldn't. Meslier will always be Farke's first choice we have to live with that sadly.
