I was there just over a month ago and yes, it does still have the same character, a couple more cafes and pubs and a statue but the old buildings and signs are still there. The victualer is my favorite one.

Indeed. The MK3 was my least favourite of the Cortina models. Ford was just copying the design popular in the US at the time. It never looked right here. Nevertheless, West Cork was still Cork, so the products of the Marina always sold well there.

Most of these lovely old bespoke signs have now been replaced by the cheapest, nastiest, most plastic crap known to man. Dealz anyone?? In Sweden and Norway, old shop signs and fascias are listed 💪
