Understanding how clutch works mechanically makes the whole thing clear. To simply say, taking off quickly depends how fast you release the quick. The more gas you give, the more quickly you can release your clutch.

This one was seriously like discovering fire for me. I was having trouble taking off, always revving up a bit higher while at the bite point, after taking off, but the car wasnt going any faster. I occasionally go through phases where I occasionally spin my wheels when needing to accelerate quickly (turning into traffic, etc). This video was really informative. I’ve got some new techniques to try now. I live in the states and have driven automatic my entire life and I just bought a 2020 manual since I’ve always wanted to drive one. This is what my instructor forgot to tell me. She's always telling me to add more gas when I'm moving off, but she never told me to raise the clutch a little higher when I do. So I developed a habit of taking off like a boy racer after an argument with his mum about whether he should have gotten his own flat before getting a Corsa. But now I can accelerate properly :)
