I believe you have shaded the wrong area .All parrots are birds means there is no parrot which is not a bird...those parrots which don't coincide with birds should be excluded. However, you strike off those birds which are not parrots in the bird region. should the striking off not be done in the parrot region. plz explain
@Examrace6 жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct. That's mistakenly marked. For all parrots are birds, we strike off the parrots which are not birds.

Thank you very much for your video. I have to answer such questions at an acceptance test for medschool and your videos are very helpful. I would like to ask a question: We get a little bit different tasks here with a Major and Minor and five possible answers, of which one is “no conclusion is correct”. We can always only choose ONE solution, if there are 2 or more possible solutions, we have to choose the strongest or more universal one. One example: All Parrots are animals Some Birds are Parrots A: All animals are blackbirds B: Some birds are animals - which you state as correct in your video at 27:00 C: Some parrots are animals - that could also be correct, or am I mistaken? D: Some Parrots are birds - that could also be correct, or am I mistaken? E: No conclusion is correct. So how do I know with your method, which answer I have to choose? In courses for the test, we learn to draw a couple of different Venn Diagrams with many combinations to solve the problem. thank you in advance for your help

mam in AAA-INCORRECT-u have wrongly marked the venn diagram..
@Examrace9 жыл бұрын
+GAURAV KUMAR We are marking the excluded region not the actual region. Please refer to the video again and observe that we are marking the excluded region in case of universal premises. So for example, All parrots are birds, we will not mark the region where all parrots are birds rather we will mark the EXCLUDED REGION where parrots are not birds.
@preethishguha58409 жыл бұрын
+Examrace But the shaded region should be on parrots side(the region excluding the birds) . Why it has been shaded on birds side?
@Examrace9 жыл бұрын
+Preethish Guha Yes, the region has been incorrectly marked. We have corrected the same on the video. The shaded region should be on the side of the parrot.

Mam, What if we select the included region in-spite of shading the excluded region, will it make any difference? Because I am confused in AAA incorrect conclusion ,as how we can say that some parrots are birds where all the parrots through the venn is falling under the intersection of all the three. Plz guide if I am wrong.....
@Examrace9 жыл бұрын
+Preethish Guha Make sure you pick only excluded region otherwise you will never end up with correct answer rather it will increase the confusion. The correct for AAA incorrect has been made on the video. Thanks for the input.

@Examrace9 жыл бұрын
+dheeraj kumar Thanks Dheeraj for the careful analysis. This problem is not a syllogism problem since there are 4 elements that we are discussing (bats, balls, moons, and stars). This we would be covering such multiple statement problems (3 or more statements) separately and learn to solve them by Euler Diagram (instead of Venn Diagram). Please follow the link below to understand the solution to this problem along with complete diagram at the following link - www.examrace.com/Bank-PO/Bank-PO-Updates/NEWS-Solving-multiple-statement-problems-with-help-of-Euler-Diagram-Understanding-with-Example.htm

According to AAA logic Statements : All men are dogs.All dogs are cats. Conclusions : All men are cats.All cats are men... conclusion 1 is correct.. then what about conclusion 2 mam... after excluding the area's with markings then the region of all dogs are cats is also there.... then why it is not all cats are men... ??? please help me iam confused mam...
@Examrace9 жыл бұрын
+bandi taraka pavan kumar Conclusion 1 - All men are cats will be correct. Draw the Venn diagram using the same technique and mark the excluded areas. When you are done marking you will see only one area remains common for men and that falls in the region of cats. Therefore all men are cats will be the correct conclusion based on the premises that are given. But all cats are men can be true only if all cats fall in the common region of men and cats which is just a possibility.

@Examrace9 жыл бұрын
+Akash CrackberrY Conclusion 1 - All men are cats will be correct. Draw the Venn diagram using the same technique and mark the excluded areas. When you are done marking you will see only one area remains common for men and that falls in the region of cats. Therefore all men are cats will be the correct conclusion based on the premises that are given.

The statements and the conclusion are given without All Some and No in that cases how it will be treated. Viz. statement like Dog is an animal.
