You looked like you were struggling a bit at times. I'm glad you didn't edit it out. We all have hard days especially on a long trip away from home. I think you do an amazing job and I love your work .

absolutely agree with you Vanessa, some of the most enjoyable chilled out riding can be found in the wet and heavy rain, less traffic, doubly awesome when wearing the correct clothing, Iceland looks phenomenal, been following Lyndon on his travels through Iceland as well, and when Richy Vida did it

Those river crossings are amazing with such a heavy bike. Not falling down, great feat. And the reward afterwards: I can smell the hot tubs ;-) Like eggs. Cheers, Günter/Nürnberg

I learned something watching this . I've been riding and doing outdoor activity for years and always used cotton t shirts ect. After watching thisI've just bought a base layer and what a difference . They are well over priced but worth it. I will wear them all winter now for my window cleaning job too. Thanks vanessa

Thanks Colin. Yeah Iceland is one of these countries I can go back to you over and over and over again. And I say I agree in expectations big exceeded by the Africa Twin in that terrain

Watched all of your Iceland videos with my 6-year-old blond blue-eyed daughter, who up to now, has been a girly girl, fixated on Barbies. But, now, she has become a big fan of yours, and can't wait for the next episode. Thank you for the inspiration - maybe one day she will join her dad on a bike adventure!😊😊

@TheGirlOnABike Жыл бұрын
Oh thats a tough one, they both have their different benefits!

What an awesome adventure, thanks for sharing it with us.. now you could do the most honest well tested Africa Twin vs Tiger 900 review ever. I have the Africa twin my brother has the Rally Pro 900, I think the Rally Pro has nicer fit & finish aka feels more expensive which it is and better suspension. But I still really like my Twin.... And now I want to go to Iceland

Great vlog, Vanessa. It’s a stunning place to ride eh? I’ve driven but not ridden and always hankered to go back there and ride those trails/roads. Is that Honda experience available or was this a one off for vloggers and journalists? Personally I think the Africa Twin is one of the best for the terrain, but then I may be bias! You looked like you have a great time and handled the AT well - as expected! Much enjoyed.
@TheGirlOnABike Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s 100% my favourite riding country to ride. so the Honda experience was actually a Honda global adventure, they do one every year which Africa Twin customers can go on, but it won’t be back in Iceland again. If you look up, Honda adventures roads you should find the trips. I would say look up Ride With Locals and they have Husqvarna 7O1s, absolutely dream bikes for doing Iceland I’d say. Much more manageable for the gnarled stuff and rivers. I’m actually going back to ride with ride with locals in August. I loved it so much, and you can see videos of my channel of my previous trip with them

Did you get a chance to ride one with a clutch, would be interested how different the riding experience would be, I ride a 1988 V-Max much modified but after busting my back riding Enduro I have left side mobility issues just wondering whether theiris much difference, as my African twin sits idle.
@TheGirlOnABike Жыл бұрын
Yeah I rode both. The DCT basically simplifies everything. So a river crossing suddenly you can stall which gives you loads more capacity for tackling everything else. I personally prefer the manual but can under the DCT and why others would want one!
