Yes Tim! killing it! I have a young lad down south who loves fishing. Would you have time for a chat? Maybe answer some questions? 1. Longest free dive? 2. What tools do you use for collecting data? such as depth and blood Pressure. 3. Do you check other stats, such as oxygen or bpm? We are assuming you prefer the warmer times for fishing? 4. What sustainability practices do you subscribe to and believe you do well. Looking forward to chatting bro! Love your work!

Hey mate I use a dive watch, really only look at it to maintain surface interval and nothing else really I don’t mind warm or cold weather, I dive every week right throughout the year Best Sustainability practises I stick to is only targeting specific species and Spearfishing allows for no bycatch

Awesome video. As a relative newbie to the sport I'm really looking forward to the full set of videos in this series. Being new I'm hitting a lot of shallower popular places here in Florida, so they are pressured and, while you can see Grouper and Snapper while breathing up, a rushed and sloppy duck dive will result in them being long gone when you level out at hunting depth and usually it results in a runt of a dive too. I am constantly talking to myself in my head to remind myself to relax. I'll have to add prayer ;op One thing, as a weekend warrior, I must say I've always been a little jealous of my pastors as they usually take Mondays off. I would love to save Mondays for spearfishing. No massive crowds.... Cheers and God Bless.

Love your videos! Tim when it comes to seeing a fish directly below you, how do you position your head on the descent because I’m assuming by the video your chin isn’t tucked. Understood that different fish might have different approaches but in general is it okay to continue on your descent looking at the fish?
@Spearfishing-Downunder11 ай бұрын
Definitely when a fish is mid water like that keeping eye contact is pretty important to get the right positioning to make the shot. Definitely not great freediving style, but important hunting. I’m always a spearo first
@skinz123411 ай бұрын
@@Spearfishing-Downundernow thats a good tip because had a guy tell me if my chins not tucked in i will not get deep enough but that hasnt stopped u from getting some nice fish has it? Cant wait for part 2!!! ✌️

@@skinz1234 in general situations when I’m not looking at a fish I’m diving on I’d definitely suggest chin tucked in and stream lining your dive profile

Liked your run down on life stresses - totally agree that those close to us cause some of the biggest stress triggers followed by dive buddies - great view of a p***** off Tim face LOL. You shoot some big fish and in areas with a high risk of other big fish/sharks taking off with your speared fish and gun - do you use a breakaway line + float to the spear for safety to avoid being dragged down by big fish stealing your big fish. Some of your dives are quite deep and to be towed down further would be really bad. You have some great fishy spots marked.
@Spearfishing-Downunder11 ай бұрын
Hey mate I usually use a reel gun. If I’m chasing big Doggies or Bill fish I use big gun and break away Rig

With all you do behind the scenes in your church I don't know how you find the time. For me stress comes from getting sea sick in the water, I'm fine on the boat but need tablets for when in water. If I get back on the boat the sickness disappears.
@Spearfishing-Downunder11 ай бұрын
Wow, most people I know who get sick get sick in the boat and feel better in the water. My mates take travelcalm
@Timbuctoo11 ай бұрын
@@Spearfishing-Downunder yep I take that as well. The sea sickness wrecked my spearo trip in Bali. Felt terrible but pushed through and ended up with a few fish. You just feel drained and can't relax. The critters don't really bother me.
