Grats! Hussar is my favorite cavalry in the game. Not the strongest, but definitely super solid and with a unique niche. That is a conquest map, it's in the field battle rotation but works differently than field battles (it's also more uncommon to show up). It also used to be on weekly for the free battle event, but in today's update they replaced it for another map on free battle.

@@mandragoras6933 Before I would have said rattan ranger and probably monastic as well, but last patch ranger was nerfed a bit and imp pike was super buffed to hard counter monas and many other charge units. So right now I'd be a little hesitant to say, but monas, hussars and rangers are still all very good. FL as well. Kheshig is a good cav, does insane damage (probably the highest dmg), but they are also very squishy. Kind of a glass cannon. They look fun to use as well.

Thanks a lot! They're both great. It's a choice between: hussars can charge through braced pikes and even advancing imperial pikes, monastics can't so easily. BUT monastics are much more tanky than hussars and thus better in a brawl if it comes to that. Otherwise they both have great damage, both in charge as well as melee.

@@vandosuoth3532 I dont have fortes yet, but from all the video tests I watched, no, hussars cannot charge thru fortes. They die. I still want to test it myself to be sure, but that seems to be the case

I think so yes. I prefer hussars atm, for both siege and TW, but I've seen some guys use catas effectively as well. ^^

Actually fire lancers is the only T5 cav I don't own, so I really can't tell you which one is better atm ^^ But I hear people saying firelancer isn't very strong right now, so probably hussar!

Monastic skills bottom or top?

My monas are still only lvl 16 hehe, I haven't had much time to play the game lately. I went bottom until reduced ranged dmg, now I'm going top to get a little charge damage. BUT.... I'm thinking I'll probably go full bottom with them. I like the idea of making my monastics the tankiest T5 cav. And they have enough damage already. But honestly both lines are good for them.

You should go bottom. They rock hard like this. Their charge is already one of the most powerful in the game and they will feel like iron reapers but faster with the lower one

Hussars used to be my favorite cav, but right now in their current state I personally consider monastics to be a little stronger. Because they're more tanky and can melee in a brawl better. Hussars main advantage was to charge through pikes, but the new S3 fortebraccio pike kills hussars and is used a lot atm, so hussars lost that edge.

It's hard to say yet because in S3 cav suffered massive nerfs, but also there's some bugs that will be fixed in upcoming patches (like atm archers stagger cav charges, but that's a bug and will be fixed). Monastic is still very good because they're tanky and can melee really well. Charge is what suffered the biggest nerfs in cavalry, because musket/xbow/javs shots stagger and nullify the entire charge now. Also physical obstacles stop a charge now and it needs more distance to windup. Hussars are still solid, but they suffered the nerf more heavily than monastics IMO, due to being more squishy and unable to sustain a melee so well, or surviving long enough if their charge gets staggered. They're both still good, but you need to be a LOT more careful and plan your charges better. Whereas something like reapers and tercio you can just take them with you and not worry as much.

@@vahngaming7107 I haven't tested SS vs mona since S3, but I assume monas still go through. However if you have a hero there to help stagger the horses a little bit, the SS can win. I've done it many times before with glaive.
