Conquest Last Argument Of Kings: All Faction Summarized

Just gonna shamelessly copy a comment I left on another Conquest video: I've been looking at Conquest for while now. Interesting rules and cool models are a good selling point. I'll probably give it a shot at Gencon if I get a chance. The best part for me though is how insane the faction lore is. 100 Kingdoms: GoT style humans who have refined medieval war and politics to it's finest degree due to being in a state of constant conflict. The Steel Legion are giga-chads as well. Nords: Vikings honed to the finest degree due to living in a frozen hell with their gods being dead. Spires: Tyrannical alien biomancers who fled their star nation's collapse, crash landed on Ea, are stuck here, and are really angry about all that. Dweghom: Dwarves made by dragons and juiced up on power from War, the 2nd Horseman of the Apocalypse before rebelling against said dragons. Also, magic dwarves is almost unheard of. The W'adrhun: Orc super soldiers who ride dinosaurs and are currently speed running Civ 5. The Old Dominion: The Roman Empire propelled to unimaginable heights by living gods before plummeting back down into a empire of the living dead lead by Fallen Divinities. The City States: What if the Greeks copied what the Romans did like how the Romans copied the Greeks in real life? Insane god powers included. Bonus (cause they totally would make a sick playable faction): The Weaver Courts: The same aliens as the Spires but they are chill and really like living here. So much so that they've become one with nature in a very literal sense, and have befriended the aforementioned dragons. Conquest lore goes hard, and I am all for it. Old Dominion would definitely be my first army.

Great video! Just additional stuff to add: - W'adhrun is pronounced "wah" - "droon/drune/druun" - The 8th faction is called Sorcerer Kings, which is inspired by Middle Asian aesthetics. Essentially, Hundred Kingdoms, Old Dominion, City States, and Sorcerer Kings originate from a single empire. City States preserved their knowledge, Sorcerer Kings moved literal islands and raised a new continent to the east (being raised from the sea means resources are scarce and the area is desert-like), the regular folk formed the Hundred Kingdoms, and what's left in the capital became the Old Dominion. - Spires is essentially the "Elves" of this world--otherworldly and long-lived. Basically if Elves were exiled from Valinor. The species is referred to as Exiles, and contribute to MANY of the existing factions. They are based on the East India Trading company and have a very capitalist vibe from them, as if the Spires are office buildings. They use what is called Biomancy, which is a bastardized form of creating life, and seek to return to their homeworld. - Two of the future factions are formed by Exiles, the first being the Weaver Courts. This is basically your "Wood Elf" faction, but inspired more of the Fae than the usual Tolkien elves. Colorful, bug-like aesthetics. They use the original magic Life-Binding, which allow themselves to fuse to existing life on the world. - The other Exile faction is called the Quiet. Rumors say they will be Bushido inspired, and possibly reject both Biomancy and Life-Binding. Not much is known besides. - Exiles also created the W'adhrun and the Nords.

Most of the lore is free on there website, to my knowledge they haven't released any lore specific books yet

@@Wargamerofalltrades I am dutch and locally almost noone plays. My friend is 'this close' to becoming a vanguard. Only thing holding him back is we got no place to give consistant demo's at. We have 3players atm, 3more who probably gonna get into it. And I believe a couple of hours drive there is also a very small community. But thats it. Its soo unfortunate. The game is awesome

Their is a group about 3 hours away from me, but the times most of them meet regularly mean I can't get there more then once every two or three months. I'm really hoping to get some friends interested by bringing it up every know and then, and make the plunge with them

Great video for those looking for "bite sized" info dump on factions and the game. I bought into CLACK at launch here in Scotland and after buying all 4 armies (at the time)... it was a total flop. It looks like CLACK is in a much more stable place and I have always followed it. I will be picking up so Dominion stuff to try and restart CLACK. You said W'adhrun wrong :P Also, 100k isn't based off Holy Romans, its based off Chivalric Knights of the medieval period between 1100 - 1200 roughly speaking (in the same vein that WHFB / WHToW uses Medieval French as its base for Bretonnia). The Old Dominion are based off Byzantine / HRE. :)

Yeah, W'adhrun is a mouthful lol. I love the extra info, I still haven't made the jump into Clack because Old World took over my local group. I hope at some point to find a group, but the closest one I found online is 3 hours from me.

A magic player here....but idk for how long the more I play magic the more I start to hate it. But I really like the models and battle reports I see on KZbin.might either go with the Nords or the W'adrhun.

I got into Old Dominion for the exact same reason as you, I have a full ossiarch bonereaper army, and a smaller necron army. I love their look. Gonna try to get the fallen divinity to do a different playstyle

Ive been into GW games since I was in high-school. With the crap they pull like tossing out whole stormcast and savage ork armies, numerous 40k models etc Im done. Im not investing all the time and money into their product lines. They got too greedy, and too inconsiderate. Thats why im here. I started a dweghom army and hope the community continues to grow.

Definitely a game that looks like a lot of fun. I would play Spire due to their flexiblility on how to play then try out the Nords if I find myself playing sneakily aggressive/high risk high reward
