Conquest Step Siegbert: Trivialize one of the hardest paralogues for minimal gain

I will be playing an Ironman challenge run of Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest on Lunatic Difficulty. This'll be pretty rough. I'll start from chapter 1 and try to proceed to the end of the game.
I won't be using DLC, though I will allow amiibos and other things like it, as long as it's not from the Dragon's Gate menu. I won't be hiring outside units from other players, either.
In Ironman runs, I am not allowed to reset the game, use savepoints, or save states. Each action or occurrence is as a result, permanent. Any characters that die will remain dead for the rest of the run, and if I lose the game, the run is over.
If I fail the run and need to restart, I will begin at the Branch of Fate, meaning I will not need to replay chapters 1-6. This is mostly because the earlier chapters aren't really part of the Conquest route.

Siegbert's kinda interesting as a unit. While he doesn't totally suck, most runs will have a stupid difficult time playing his paralogue. If you manage to beat it, you probably have a stacked enough team that you don't need him. Funny things you can do though is his classical mother Charlotte can promote at lvl 10 and with a bunch of exp feeding can make it to lvl 15 to pass Siegbert Axefaire. Since his father is Xander, he then has access to Wyvern Lord (and Malig Knight for trample), so he can get a pretty impressive damage stack without too much effort (Outdoor Fighter +3, Strength +2 [+2], Axefaire +5, and Trample +5, for +15 total). That all hinges on you being able to feed Charlotte a bunch of exp, but fortunately from chapter 20 onwards an instant promoted Charlotte will gain massive amounts of exp from internal lvl, so you could do this surprisingly quickly. I recommend Shigure's paralogue (and then you could get Axefaire on both Camilla and Charlotte all in one map because the Shigure's paralogue is stupid easy) for this purpose. Anyway, who''s ready to see him dead next map?

@@oof5992 Yeah, definitely one of those few moments in Fire Emblem in general where Great Knight is by far the better choice for the promotion. Though I guess it doesn't really count because you'd probably immediately reclass him anyway lol

@a HERO that doesn’t know what protect means I mean, life and death is a pretty useful skill to have, sure, but Siegbert doesn't really have much in the way of options to get it though. How would you accomplish this typically? In Conquest, the only ways I can think of are to have Siegbert marry Corrin, Mozu marry Xander, or have Corrin marry Xander and pass down the skill. I could be missing something though.

Red hair, it is Selena. It is a good pair up for Xander after Charlotte because thanks to axebreaker for endgame. But yeah Siegfried sucks in a game where every stat except speed have high growths the fact that any of his stats are equal of above 50 is sad. And yes I know that those are his base growths and not his growth in a class, in paladin his best growth is 55% in speed in Fates. And he has a backpack ability.

Can’t you use this map to cheese Salvage Blow? Take Kumagera, reclass and level him to 5, and leave however dragon veins open you’re comfortable with to farm money; each one you leave lets you farm 99 weapons worth 49,500 gold total, and each dragon vein left open allows for more cheese. It’s takes some doing, but Oni Savage!Corrin can marry Kaze, who can then pass down Salvage Blow to Midori, the only character who can use it for a coin flip chance of obtaining an item, since Kumagera only has 5 goddamn luck, unless you use all 3-4 goddess icons you have by now on him. The dragon vines spawn 2 enemies per rotation, Azura can sing to have Midori/Kumagera strike twice, repeat for 99 turns. It’s not even a bad trade off in terms of marriage and talent, since Corrin with Counter access and maybe an HP, DEF, or MAG boon sounds like a great Dragonstone tank, lowering enemies just enough to slap them down on the counterattack, and gains access to Mechanist for Replicate, then Master Ninja because why the hell not. Near 50k gold, improving Corrin with Replicate and Counter, Master Ninja at the end for ungodly speed with those stats, it sounds pretty good for Corrin marriage and talent
