Hey mate sorry for late reply nop I've had a year and no problems just the old snag lol but nope I take good care of it wash her down with fresh water and clean the inside of the kontiki every time I'm finished I personally think it's worth the buy but I will say when you upgrade goto Phil shearer at sea horse kontiki tauranga
