Best part of working at Auto Train was to see and hear this thing working all the time. Great part of PSR means you have a better chance to see these guys work now

Very nice. We have a company here in Mississippi called "Dunn Roadbuilders" which is owned and operated by Vulcan, similiar to Conrad Yelvington. We got a GP8 here in Meridian that regularly works loads that NS brought. Near video, thanks for sharing.

Any video @action of the GP8?

Always wondered what that was as i went past a few times on the Sunrail peeking thru the trees. The rock grill on the windshield is unique, makes it look "tough", almost mad max esque. Still going through your vids. Clean and concise 👍

Yeah I had been wanting to see a CY engine for a while, first engine I'd ever seen with rock guards on it. You're right, looks like it belongs in a Joker heist or something like that...

Wow truly a amazing engine :D

Thanks! I'd say the best bet is to just hang out at Rand Yard for a couple hours during the morning-time, and you'll get it eventually. From experience, I can tell you that there doesn't seem to be any specific schedule, but its relatively often that they perform moves like these

They all so have a yard just south of the wildwood yard on the s line and you can watch them work there
@floridarailfan5 жыл бұрын
I'be been to wildwood multiple times and have never seen them in action. I've never even seen any cars in their facility, as a matter of fact

Absolutely liked it. Great catch !! When will the north bound rock train move? When will that GP30m return to pick up loads? Have you considered filming other CY operations? We would love to see their other engines in action. Thank you for posting.
@floridarailfan3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! All of the seperate movements regarding this operation are completely sporadic. As for the rest of CY ops, I would love to see their Gainesville plant in action, its got an ACL high hood GP

Is the absence of a turbocharger one of the results of the Chessie’s GP30 rebuild (GP30M) program?
@kenrosser81605 жыл бұрын
You can all see them work the kaley yard in orl. From there orl yard

I've wanted to see those ALCO's at Kaley Yard for quite some time! I just need to find the time to get down there more often...

They’re using it right now and have for a few weeks. Go there any weekday morning and you have a good chance of seeing them work it

Is FCEN still using #50? That's the one thing I'd like to see when I'm back over spring break
