0:00 - Westbound Conrail local on the C&N at Outville. 0:31 - Pataskala. 1:02 - Yearling Rd. crossing on the east side of Columbus. 1:17 - South end of Buckeye yard departure yard. 1:44 - Heath tower on the C&N. In 1991 that was the only tower standing between Columbus and Pittsburgh on the former PRR Panhandle. 3:00 - Eastbound CSX at Moler St. in Columbus. 3:46 - CP-139/Russ in Columbus on the Conrail Cincinnati Line with nearby Scioto Tower. 4:48 - Back on the C&N in Newark. Former ND Cabin home signal in distance. 5:03 - 1st St., Newark. The end of the one-time joint PRR-B&O C&N Division (Columbus & Newark). --- Right-of-way surveys along the former PRR Panhandle line east of Newark at the time of its sale to the Ohio Central. In March 1991 it was Conrail's Weirton Secondary --- 5:43 - Hanover. 6:02 - Black Run. 6:26 - Possibly the site of Bricker Tower near Frazeysburg. 6:48 - Trinway. 7:22 - Coshocton. 7:42 - Eastbound on the Ft. Wayne Line at Massillon. 8:20 - Meet at CP-Mohican, Loudonville. 11:26 - Continuing the Panhandle right-of-way survey at Morgan Run. The diamond is with the Wheeling & Lake Erie. 12:30 - Newcomerstown. 13:12 - Uhrichsville. Diamond is the former B&O CL&W from Bellaire to Lorain. 14:11 - Dennison. 15:22 - Tunnel Hill. 15:42 - Former home signal for Custer tower near Jewett. 16:06 - Amsterdam Rd. between Jewett and Cadiz Jct. 16:42 - Cadiz Jct. 17:10 - Unionport. 17:53 - Back at CP-139 and Scioto tower in Columbus. 23:44 - Eastbound CSX near Lockbourne. 24:54 - Nighttime scenes at the Amtrak depot at Alliance. 26:51 - Once again at Scioto tower. 30:10 - Linworth. 31:24 - Delaware? 33:15 - Passing over Long St. in Columbus. 34:10 - Crestline. 38:47 - Mansfield. (CP-West Mans is the Ashland Railway crossing.) 41:13 - Crossing under I-71 on the east side of Mansfield. 42:11 - Mansfield. (CP-Mans westbound home signal) 43:27 - Massillon. (CP-Mace is the crossing with the former B&O CL&W.) 47:28 - Back at Alliance.

Nice catches! I like the classic EMD power, the Conrail blue, the CSX YN2, the Chessie System, and the B&O and C&O paint schemes, the ex PRR, NYC, and C&O tri-light signals as well as the B&O CPL signals! I also like the Leslie Air-Horns as well! Really nice!

I wonder how much the PRR spent on those dramatic line changes in eastern Ohio, and whether they influenced Santa Fe’s Crookton Cutoff or the CNO&TP realignments in Kentucky and Tennessee.

Loving the melancholy footage of the Panhandle, it was nearly dead east of Coshocton before Ohio Central began operations.
