Starting my league today (ps4). Quick question: I see that ruthless does not work with shield crush. Is this the case?

This is good build, but can get expensive when starting str stacking later on. It's total brutal if you get hands on headhunter. Very hard to resist cap. Also get used to mana flask. I call it jumping totem chieftan.

I agree certain aspects of strength stacking can be expensive, but only in the extreme when it comes to this build. For example, getting a 12 passive Large Cluster with +5 Str +Res +35% node effect is crazy expensive. But also completely unnecessary. A corrupted 6L or 5L Iron Fortress works fine until a 6L Fortress. Astramentis and its Anointment is fairly cheap. Alberon's boots are cheap, even with the proper enchant. Crown of Eyes, which by itself gives us a massive 50%+ More multiplier, is dirt cheap (though one with the enchant will be a little expensive, but no more than a Divine's worth of chaos in the first couple weeks). I could keep going and analyzing the other pieces of gear, but one of the major strengths of the build is that it scales disproportionately well compared to the cost of its staple gear, allowing it to farm progressively more difficult content, yielding progressively more currency that it can reinvest into itself. As a side note...are you saying you want to get Headhunter on this build? I don't think this build wants Headhunter at all - the belt provides a massive amount of strength that I wouldn't give up for temporary rare mods that I'd lose/not have in the first place on boss fights.

@@Eliteish I'm talking about str belt and good rings/amulets, when you are trying to get fairly high str. And perfecty rolled gear. Getting to 1100 is quite easy and this will be enough for sometime. Regarding headhunter. I used it with this build for serial cemetery farming and worked like a charm, eventhough I had to lower str (since I ditch 18% str belt). But it works even without HH, its just a bit slower. Safe build in any case and you can do all content.

To be honest decent rings are quite cheap to craft, (good life, two res and high str) if lucky you can get a ele damage on there as well… the only really expensive item is the 6l fortress at 3 divines… I just converted to this build from my boneshatter for the league mechanic and it’s really easy to setup mid range str stacking gear… also fractured items are dirt cheap

The fire damage we get is almost entirely from the flat fire per 10 strength in the weapon we use. If you're able to get the relic that has that mod, too, you can push the builds damage to Sentinel league heights (where it can comfortably kill Uber Eater and 100+% quant Feared and regular Eater fights)

The +1 totem count is tempting, but we have to sacrifice too much to get it with this shield. The aura we'd need to choose is Precision to cap our hit rate, causing us to lose out on a ton of damage from Blood and Sand and Anger. All the extra mana we gain also doesn't do anything for us. Tempting, but in the end I don't think it's worth using. Great question!

#1: Tukohama, War's Herald - #2: Tasalio, Cleansing Water - Then Ramako into Hinekora. I take Tasalio 2nd because we shouldn't need the 15% fire pen that comes with it until we're in maps, whereas the 100% Fire Res and other defensive layers from Tasalio's will help us survive through and into maps by mostly solving our Fire Res needs.

awesome build. planned on starting it this league so i threw together a base version on standard. do you ever have mana issues? i seem to be out of mana alot. I can run an enduring and its fine then.

I always use an enduring mana flask to solve mana - I haven't found any other way that's worthwhile. The endgame version typically ends up with an enduring eternal mana flask of shock immunity for 16 seconds. There's flexibility there of course for what you want it to do on the suffix.

What would be a recommended farming strategy for this build? At what Content does it perform well?

It excels at boss and Feared farming and is a strong mapper. Without an additional source of flat fire damage per 10 strength (which you can obtain this league from a sanctified relic), it doesn't do Uber Eater, Exarch, Cortex, Maven, or Uber Uber Elder very well. It can also do elemental reflect maps if you really want, you'll just need to resummon your totems a lot.

@@Eliteish I failed hard at Uber Elder due to survival issues, but maybe Im just still missing gear. (Around 12M DPS, 4k HP (800 reserved via arrogance for precision and clarity)

Does this build work without Iron Fortress? I have EVERYTHING excpet it in SSF and i Just cant seem to hit one!

It does, but it's much more vulnerable without it as that's our source of block. The strength damage bonus is also worth something like 35% more damage, so a 5 link version of it is often stronger than a non-IF 6 link

I have the same problem. Farming everything for this build in SSF expect Iron Fortress. Seems that I dont find one. Is the build without it a good choice or better chooce another build than. My plan was farming pinnacle bosses with it

I haven't figured out a version of the build that can shore up its lack of spell damage defenses and maintain its strong damage output. But it's not meant to be the best build - it's meant to be able to do nearly all content right off of league start, and that's what it does

Soul of the Brine King for the major, capturing the bosses for 100% to avoid being frozen + 50% reduced effect of chill and Soul of Abberath, capturing the boss for unaffected by burning ground and 10% MS on burning ground are the ones I favor.

+1 from Ancestral Bond, +1 from our shield for 2 Consecrated Path totems and 1 Warchief. Then Multiple Totems support for our Ancestral Protector, which summons 2 instead of 1.

Nope! We aren't getting our fire damage from converting Physical to Fire - we're getting it straight from Brutus' Lead Sprinkler's 4-7 Flat Fire Damage per 10 Strength

It reaches level 96 fairly easily (which it doesn't need to in terms of being complete), it can do Feared cycles without a problem, chain farm any non-Uber pinnacle boss, Uber Elder, altar-juiced 100%+ quant T16's...I need you to be more specific when you say it doesn't survive

@@Eliteish I legitimately don't know how I can get more armor than I already have (because if I had to make a guess I'd say I am lacking in the armor department). I already have all of the "required" pieces of the build (except the crit scaling jewels and forbidden flesh and flame (which wouldn't help my survivability)). I think I am immune (through flasks and/or other items) to all ailments except chill (but I think I got the pantheon upgrade so I might even have reduced effect of chill). I can't complete a T16 without getting one tapped at least once.
