In my opinion, one of the biggest problems in the black community is the LACK OF EDUCATION. If they educate themselves properly, and not just "getting by", and if they have the proper motivation and will, they will succeed in this country. It's not easy, but guess what, it's not easy for ANYONE. We all have to spend the time, put in hours, work hard. This is called life and we all have to do it in order to succeed. The successful black people have put in the time, studied, and worked hard. The ones that are not successful, have not done all of that. The complaint that the system is somehow against them is totally incorrect. I'm an accountant (white male) and my boss is a black woman. Guess what? She's smart. She knows what she's doing and she's there because she has the qualities needed for the job. She put in the effort and is successful. Just one example.

My family came from Germany in 1880. They were refused jobs, shunned and then went on in shame refusing to let the kids speak their native language. My father and his 3 brothers went on to join the military to defend this country. They came back from multiple wars, to open their own businesses, become fire fighters, and upstanding citizens of the country. They were dirt poor and worked their way to a comfortable living, not by getting money from the government but by hard work blood sweat and tears. None of them had a high school education because they join the military early. The biggest lesson I learned from them was love your country, love your people, love your community and work hard.
