Get accepted and attend a 3 year law school 4. Achieve a law degree (graduate in the top 10% of your class from a top tier law school if you want to get hired by a top firm) 5. Pass the bar exam Now she claims only 5% of attorneys are black. Even if that is true, only 13% of the entire population is black. Jojo, I recommend joining the military with your engineering degree you can get a commission if you’re under 27 1/2 years old. The advantage is first the experience, second the prestige of being in the military, and third something to put on your resume to get that first job as an engineer.

Vivek deserves a medal for his patience 👏 🏆 🏅 🎖 🥇 🏅. He would've been totally justified in telling her, "Hey, hey, HEY! Could you stop talking for more than 3 seconds so I can respond? That's kinda how a debate works, hunny, unless you know your arguments won't hold up to my rebuttal. Typical radical leftist.😅" and in my mind he should've said SOMETHING to shut her up so he could reply. By letting her go full kamala word salad it makes him look weak and scared, because he's letting her walk all over him while he just sits there. He spoke what? 50 words in that whole interaction? 😅

I think one reason you believe in yourself and can achieve what you are doing is is because you had two loving parents in the house to raise you.

It is a simple answer, it isn't institutional racism, it is intracultural influence on the perception of success and achievement. A black attorney isn't going to have the same influence on influencing the perception of success as a black entertainer, because there is less exposure. Even when there is that nationwide or even international exposure for a black attorney, like Johnnie Cochran, the focus is less on him as the attorney, and more on the celebrities that he represented. So instead of her asking why the number is so low, she should be asking what is stopping people from going into that field.

Fantastic answer. Another answer they might be more willing to accept: "Literally every other place on the planet outside the global west will throw bigger barriers in your face than the US does."
@daviddiggens88412 ай бұрын
Absolutely spot on, I'd add that finding out black attorneys is at 5% ( and she acts like it should be 50% when 13% would be perfect representation ) is also possibly related to the cultural distrust of "the system", expressed so "eloquently" by this woman here, that causes some to find working for it repellent. And because of that I assume Black prosecutors are much rarer than defence attorneys. They might only be 1% of the whole pool. It's unfortunate but you're also absolutely correct that culturally success is more about personal exposure than working within "the system" That attitude has to change before she can genuinely complain about those numbers being as they are, especially since she's only becoming an attorney as far as I can tell because she thinks her fellow Blacks are being unfairly treated by that very system. I hope that follows

It's because like the left believes, black people simply aren't intelligent enough to become lawyers 🙄.

It‘s surely also related to fatherlessness in the black community, she has to thank feminism for that.

It’s not systemic racism (why only X% of Y or Z profession is black). It comes down to culture.. and choices. But generally, yall usually express more interest in athletics, music, cooking or not going to college at all (which is fine). That or.. the hood, or the “culture” eats you up before you get out of high school. But furthermore.. every time I hear this complaint of “blacks only make up X% of Y or Z profession”.. I can’t help but cringe. They really need to make statistics a focus point in grade school math.. like algebra.. geometry, calculus etc.. black people in America only make up 13% of the total population.. why do they expect to see job demographics as if the country was 50/50..!? For only making up 13% of the population.. 5% of total lawyers aint bad honestly.. Disparity does not automatically mean discrimination.

Man well done on achieving your goal and becoming an engineer. Im 32, from Scotland and going back to college to start engineering. I won't be trying for a degree, probably just doing the first year. Im getting some age based discrimination, everyone else on my course is between 17-20. I can't even imagine putting all that work in and having to deal with the constant worry that people might be thinking you were a DEI hire. It ain't fair and likely means you're gonna feel like you have to work harder than most of your colleagues to prove that you deserve to be there. But fu** that. You put in the work man. Never let anyone make you feel like that.

When they say "America is racist", just ask them what country isn't racist and watch them self-destruct, because whatever their answer will be, there is no country more accepting than the US. - It's a question they can't win on because there's no answer that won't make them look ridiculous
