Fair enough. I did the character because I wanted someone who would be super opposed to the neocon's idea, and I thought a libertarian would fit that bill. But I guess you're right in the fact that he really shouldn't be on a conference about fighting "moral degeneracy," he has a lot of priorities more important to him than that.

A paleocon is basically any rural man over sixty. It's kind of like the default conservative, if you know what I mean. All the default conservative views are there: pro-gun, pro-life, pro-religion, pro-capitalism, all that. A lot are blue-collar, the "redneck grandpa" stereotype about fits them perfectly. They're not Nazis by any stretch of the imagination - in their minds, Nazism and communism are pretty much the same thing. Big bad governments from foreign countries. Neo-Nazis are a very different crowd.

@@theredneckcatholic1417 yeah, people conflate nazis with others because nazis tend to masquerade as other ideologies. They know saying "the jews" doesn't really fly with most people.
