Thank you so much for this. We just bought a brand new ROCKWOOD and are so excited, and they screwed up a lot of questions. Love your outtakes!

I haven't watched this video yet but we use this company also. We've had a few problems and this company is right there to cover exactly what they said they would. No hesitations with payments made directly to the repair service, whomever that may be. We've been very impressed and are super happy with the services so far!! The deductible is reasonable and payments are made promptly! We couldn't have asked for more.

@@patriotliberty3070 We had some water in our "basement" bays and didn't have an issue but it wasn't anything too serious. We*ve never had a claim turned down.

Thanks for taking the time to do this video, I am sure it will help some folks out. I personally don’t buy extended warranties of any kind because there are huge mark ups and very profitable for the sellers and there are normally so many loopholes the headaches just aren’t worth it, so I would just rather pay cash and have it repaired myself. iPhones, iPads, cars, etc., I can’t think of anytime a warranty would have been useful. I know you couldn’t think of everything, but when I started watching the first question that popped into my head was can you take the RV to any service center, or are you stuck using only their people which are probably far and few between, especially when out traveling? And another word caught my attention....... pre-existing condition. That sounds like a huge out for the warranty company. He earlier in the video he said that as long as it was inspected prior to writing a policy there wouldn’t be a problem. Well, how can it be pre-existing if the rig passed inspection? I don’t expect you to answer these questions, it’s just more of my thoughts on what the gentleman said. I guess it all comes down to read the fine print like you would any contract.

We have a warranty from this company. The inspector is sent by them to look at the rig. If he finds a problem, which they did with our fridge, they will exclude coverage until you get the issue repaired. We did. Sent them a copy of the invoice and proof of payment and the fridge was covered. Three weeks later...we had another issue with the fridge and they covered the repair minus $100.00 deductible and the original service call. They also covered a new a/c when ours went out. They never once hesitated or fussed about the costs. That cost was something around $2800.00. I would recommend them to anyone. The repairs they have covered have already surpassed what we mlm paid for the coverage. To me with what I've seen with other companies, these guys are gold!!
@beechbaby25 жыл бұрын
Oh and yes you can take your RV to any company that will process a warranty claim. The guy we used had previous experience with them and new he would get paid promptly. And he did.

Well, I have never bought an Extended Warranty on any of my RV's. The only time I see that paying off is if I buy a lemon. The purchased warranty is really more like an insurance policy. If I treat my RV like it is a valued friend, then I will maintain it and make sure that everything is behaving as it should. I take the cost of the extended warranty and put that in the bank ready to be expended anytime something needs to be fixed. The result is that I have been money ahead.
@GetawayCouple5 жыл бұрын
That's definitely a way to go about it too! Hopefully everyone is doing the proper maintenance on their RV to extend the life, but if you're not putting money away monthly then a warranty is great for those unexpected accidents or unforeseeable issues. We've had a lot of people buy a used RV and later find out it had water damage, even though it wasn't caught in the PDI or even by a professional.

Good Video. Thanks for publishing. I have this warranty but haven't had to use it...knock on Wood. We have a 2017 GD Solitude 310 GK-R and it been a good unit so far. But i like having the coverage as some of these repairs for covered items can be extremely pricey.
@GetawayCouple5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, we learned that some of these repairs can be extremely pricey. We were shocked when we got the warranty receipt back from our dealer and saw they were able to charge over $1,000 for simple repairs. Thank goodness it was covered but that's what really got us thinking about the future.

This was a great video. Thank you so much for putting it up and leaving the info in your description. I currently have a Good Sam extended service plan and it's not worth a c**p. My fireplace went out and it was not repairable due to the fact that it's not made anymore so they would not replace the fireplace. Now I don't have one in our coach which is a 2008 Summit Ridge Reserve 5th wheel. I don't know if I can get a warranty on it as it's now 11 years old. I also have two A/C heat pumps which work just fine now, but I know that they are not made for RVs anymore. They are Carrier brand. I know now that Good Sam will not replace them and our rig at 40' needs both A/Cs to keep it cool during the summer. Thanks again for the video and all the info. I will be contacting this company to see if they can help me out. My best to you both. P.S. Don't ever buy anything from Good Sam. They are great for their discounts on fuel and a couple of other things, but that's about it.

Yes, your motorhome is eligible, they'll cover it as long as it is 20 model years/under 100k ish

Sorry to hear about your frustrations with Good Sam, that's really annoying they wont replace your fireplace. That's my favorite feature in our RV! I'd be upset too. I'm not sure if age is a restriction but definitely give them a shout, fingers crossed they can help!

One question I have and I didn't find the answer in the FAQ on their website either. Can you use a mobile tech to do warranty work?
@rvlover112yes65 жыл бұрын
Yes you can
@GetawayCouple5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe you can! As long as the mobile tech is willing to work with the warranty company for payment.

Hi Robin! The pre-authorization is more so for not wasting time. If you get your issues pre-authorized with your warranty company first it just saves time so they're not having to do it at the repair shop. Kind of like sending pictures to your insurance agent before taking it to the shop to have the repair quoted (not sure if you've ever had to do that but that's how my insurance company worked when I got into a little fender bender).

I don’t have an extended warranty as well. I wish there was a way I could put my info on here so you can contact me I can share with you how to fix most of your problems. A lot of the things they charge you for sometimes does not need to be done just saying. I’ve experienced this with camping world. If you can find a way for me to give you my information without putting it on public Internet I would love to give you my number and talk you through the small minor repairs that you need done.
