Genuinely, why are the shadows dropping sprites on the PC Engine version? I've never noticed that before on any fighting game on PC Engine, Genesis, SNES, and obviously not on Neo Geo. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I've seriously never noticed it on any other fighting games on any of those consoles until now. I've only really studied fighting games on Genesis and SNES in any level of detail for the most part though, so there is that.

Super Nintendo World is doing gangbusters, while all but one of Sega's arcades have now shut down. The Switch is about to become the highest selling console of all time bar none, while Sega is a footnote in the hardware space. And so it goes. . . . I get it, the Genesis is literally all you have left to cling onto of your once precious Sega. And you apparently got hurt by some SNES fans as a child or something and can't move on from some manchild "revenge" delusion.
