okay you can hear that you arranged a lot the background melodies and accompaniments for this newer version :) it has now a bigger retro rock-pop touch with this, it gives this song a bigger nostalgic feeling, still love the brass and strings (also the clockenspiel and other bell/key elements are now more in focus, too) and your lead-guitar is just the cherry on the cake =D I guess this version is even better, even if I liked the first one, also =) this is truly a great tribut cover! It was a tough decision to make, but I just knew that those small background details made such a difference in the overall feeling of the song. Interesting take, but you're right. It does give it some sort of pop rock feel which I'm also a fan of when the song calls for it like this one. Very good fit. The mix seems smoother. You seem to have adjusted some volumes too. The songs stay and it's good that you want to be fully satisfied with them. I know it's very demanding to produce. The audio part is really the most difficult, because you have to listen again and again and adjust ten, hundred times. This represents the bulk of the work. You're right, especially when the song has so many layers and instruments, there's a lot to deal with and work on and leveling them together can be tricky. The ears can grow tired from hearing the same thing over and over and it's good to get away from it and come back from a fresh perspective sometimes.
