How quickly will the surface wear when it is scuffed?

Good afternoon Mo! I enjoy your MoMonday segments. I appreciate you and the videographer taking the time to share valuable information to us about bowling. What type of layout and ball surface would you suggest for me? I am mainly rev dominant(16mph off the hand at release last measured) with an inside to outside swing plane allowing me to play straight down the boards. I have been doing this since the 1996(first time I began bowling at age 23 currently age 46) and have not changed it. I am able to create an outside to inside swing as well to cover a few more boards but find it easier to play straight. This is also allows the arm to swing freely from the shoulder joint naturally. Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my inquiry.

How do you handle a shot when a person isnt comfortable with a 10/5 like move. We can handle 3/1 but 10/5 for must puts you in an uncomfortable situation. Were looking for balls that keep us comfortable (to a degree) and 3/1 or 3/2 moves are tolerable. please advise.

Every bowler is different, 10/5 won't apply to a bowler who is speed dominant just like a 3/1 or 3/2 wouldn't apply to Brandon when the surface was applied.

Practice. Get comfortable playing all parts of the lane

Still struggling to remember to forget about the drill angle on symmetric balls... lol. I looked at ball 2 and 3 and can see there's a difference there. Pin to PAP and VAL angle is most important!

When I looked at both of them, I said the same thing. I didn't understand how he felt they were drilled identical. I have the Conspiracy Pearl and I Love it, so I always check the specs on all the others. I have a lot of respect for Mo's ball knowledge, but he has me puzzled on this one. Lol

In other videos, Mo has said you are not going to see a discernible difference between small tweaks in the layout; if I remember correctly, Radical only recommends 5 layouts for asymmetric balls now. It may be Mo thinks the difference between the balls is enough to matter.
