If i could recall recorrectly, based on ACI 318-14, Construction joint shoul be on middle thirds of the span, except for prestressed members, pls correct me if wrong

Construction joint should be horizontally, make key like column after base footing and in between retaining wall in middle somewhere but left key and then cast next lift.

As you mention the exact location of the joint in the slab could you please let me know the exact location of the joint in a column as well. Is it in the meddle or any other location according to the Code?

In column generally there is no specific location suggested by any code, however in my opinion try to cast column in one go up to bottom of beam or slab
