Dentists only started wearing gloves in the 80's when AIDS became a big deal. And because AIDS people advocate that it is a disability then a dentist cannot just wear glove to treat AIDS patients, because it is considered as "discrimination". So dentists started wearing gloves on everyone, "universal" precaution, so won't get in discrimination lawsuit with the AIDS people.

Even if someone makes you one it will need final and ongoing adjustments to work. Your teeth opposing will shift from time to time and require adjustments.
