My parents had a driveway made from resin and stone, IT DIDN'T LAST A YEAR!! It all started just breaking up and apart had to completely remove it all!

The Insulation shown @5:00 looks like it would be good insulation HOWEVER, there are not Baffles in the Rafters and therefore the Attic (top) is NOT Ventilated from the Soffits as required. It would not be a problem for the rafter section but anything above the "Ceiling Joists or Collar Ties" that portion of roof must be ventilated. Fresh air from the lowest point and exhaust at or near the Ridge. Most Importantly : Check with Your Local Municipal Building Department BEFORE buying any new building system, material or component to see whether or not it "meets the requirements of the building codes in your area.

Thank you for pointing that out! Your knowledge on building codes and insulation is invaluable.

I've watched this entire, very interesting 'info-mercial.' What I feel is lacking is a convenient way to actually BUY and USE these products you've spent so much time 'advertising.'

Balconies, very cool. Insulation, beats cutting fiberglass. Love the stairs.

I'm worried about whether they've properly considered recycling resources when it deteriorates over time or when it's dismantled.

The insulation and concrete forms were interesting. But you left out information. What would be the R-value of these products?

How does the driveway system hold up to cold climates with freeze/thaw cycles? What about salt? Looks like a nice product.
@Proton-Tech2 ай бұрын
Awesome question! This driveway system can totally handle the cold and won’t let salt mess it up. It's built to last through all that winter craziness!

Never heard of a 30 degrees Celsius sloped incline. 😂

Sometimes we use temperature and slope in different contexts, but I appreciate your curiosity!

The Plastic Forms @13:00 for concrete are a bit much. Foam is lighter that those and dividers are already installed with rebar slots. Furthermore, Foam provides a Thermal Break between the inside and outside whereas the plastic just becomes part of the thermal bridge. More Importantly, anyone hoping to do this by Mixing their own Concrete and placing it one bucket at a time, should stop sniffing glue ! Not only is it way too much work and mindless, it is way too slow. There would be tons of Cold Joints because it wasn't a monolithic pour. Hard to Vibrate the wall suitably too. Many of these systems are Experimental Only and most are likely NOT YET APPROVED for use throughout Canada or USA. And in Canada there are no APPROVED Structural Plastics.

Wonderful stuff. Problem in the real world is finding capable and available labour with the knowledge and skills to carry out work especially when it is in small amounts . Like the info . Would like to see similar content on insulation ventilation and energy efficiency for existing properties which need updating . Thanks
@Proton-Tech4 ай бұрын
It's true that finding skilled labor can be challenging. I’ll look into making more vids on insulation and energy efficiency - stay tuned!

"..balances the vapour pressure"? What vapour pressure? You haven't mentioned or shown any.

yo naysayers, these are viable building innovations, yes human labor is used, but remember, these advances do help. being in the construction field for 20 years, i was always looking for an easier way to build and not being injured or disabled, i was lucky. there always is new idea to make it ezr>

That's why nothing lasts, cutting corners! Acropolis still standing 3000 years!Driveways dressed with stone or slate breaking up because of cheap fake foundations,like using only gravel vibrated and mud(cement sand) as adhesive for stone ,very wrong and cheap.U need to concrete with Rio bars on vibrated gravel and wait 28 days for it to set properly,so U get your movements and cracks in joints with Rio bar not overlapping the joints! Quantity not Quality!
