Here in US we always go for methods and materials that speed up the building process. And 20 years down the line we are doing major repairs on our homes. But compare that to structures in Europe that were built 100s of years ago and are still standing. New is not always better.
@charleswillcock3235Ай бұрын
I am all for innovation but the irony in Britain is that some of the most sort after homes are old by British standards - not American! The UK has plenty of housing built my councils which has been demolished within 30-years of being built.

Here in europe some craftmen rather try to keep the Old World alive, many "techniques" shown in the video wouldn't work half as well (in short term) without a "plastic solution", i could repair lots of things "easier" by applying glue or wrapping tape, but that's not an attempt of art, and if you have to make a further repair task you have to find a way with the sticky plastic or glue. So would the US construct similar to china? I hate when craftmen install crap (perhaps "proposed" by their leader in the business room) just to "return to fix it" shortly afterwards ("dependant customer), coating their minds around artificial problems. Plastic could be a problem solver somewhere? too much of plastics in your environment might damage your health.

@@philipfrazee5661 Because I can! I am embarking on a significant six-month journey. I'll be circumnavigating Australia in two CYBERTRUCKs and a Tesla Semi, covering a substantial 22,000 kilometres. This journey is set to commence at the beginning of February 2025. Elon shall help me. I started in 1972 to 1974 when I received air pollution results from my contract with the EPA NSW governments. I did this because I used to live in Eastern Arterial Rd, Lindfield NSW 2070, Sydney, one of the areas with air pollution. I went on to expose the air pollution across Sydney and Newcastle. I was in pain arse of every EPA of all States across Australia. As we travel, we aim to meet all the Premiers of the States, including notable figures like The Hon. Anthony Albanese, MP Prime Minister, and The Hon. Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Climate Change and Energy. Fun fact: I used to grab coffee with Anthony Albanese in Lewisham. I will raise a minimum of AU$1,800.000.00. Those who have helped me the people and companies: 1. Nurses and Doctors 2. Base Hospital and Ballina Rehabilitation Hospital 3. NSW Ambulance Service-By the end of 2027, Australia will have Tesla Optimus robots and Robovan to ambulances in 2029. The Robovan could replace bus transport passengers, good and Tesla Optimus. I would support that. 4. All my friends who are worse than me and people who have helped me. Lismore GSAC Baths. 5. Neuralink will help those who are worse off than me. I shall take two Tesla Optimus robots. We are getting 30 Tesla Optimus robots for Northern Coast NSW by 2026. I had a stroke on 4 July 2019. My wife, Kate, saved me. I am now swimming 120 lengths, 25m, at Goonellabah Pool, which has a total length of 3,000m, three times a week. I will swim in 25 m and 50 m pools when circumnavigating Australia. We shall have them for the disabled and elderly to help them in their homes or for anybody who will use them for any task they cannot do. They will be more intelligent than most people. 6. Promote of Tesla - Cybertruck, Starlink, Optimus 7. Promote the CYBERTRUCK to the State Government and Police forces of States. 8. Promote the Tesla Semi. We will use it for concerts and accommodation while circumnavigating Australia. The trailer of the Tesla Semi will be covered in PV, which will charge the batteries of the cyber trucks and Tesla Semi in places without chargers. I was the project manager and civil engineer. I worked as an engineer in Singapore from 1999 to 2005. We designed and constructed twelve-kilometre tunnels with two boring tunnel machines and five stations. I also managed 160 engineers and architects. I have been a contract engineer since 1975, Constructing sewage and water treatment plants from Melbourne to Cairns and all of Asia. I have enjoyed every minute of my life. Kate's wife is a well-known interior designer, and Kate was introduced to Grand Design in Australia-the ideal partnership for 50 years of marriage of the year. I applied to NASA in 1974 to be an astronaut in the Apollo Space Program. I became an engineer. I am promoting the Copenhagen Atomics reactor. Thorium encourages me, and it will be a Game-Changer in Energy. I am promoting Carnegie Clean Energy. Carnegie owns and develops the CETO® technology, which captures energy from ocean waves and converts it into electricity. We use the latest advances in artificial intelligence and electric machines to control the device and generate electricity most efficiently and optimally. We have a long ocean energy history with a record of world-leading developments.

Building that tonka toy house with little wooden tiles is faster? I hardly think so! While the text was rubbish I found the contents fascinating, but everything was just a little “off” while still seeming brilliant… The tonka house was tiny bits (but wait, they can cut down smaller trees for smaller wood planks…maybe a + point.) The erosion control was kinda cool but looked like seating but too small & uncomfortable. But in general they looked like great ideas. I enjoyed it! The polymer concrete..it didn’t even join the bricks completely - just a LINE in between. That didn’t look safe.

How can a brick store sunlight? Some peoples grasp of the English language is something to behold...
@MachinecoMachinesАй бұрын
Their grasp of English is only vastly exceeded by their A: Lack of knowledge of physics and material properties, and B- gullibility. How many more of these slightly accented recitations of overly enthusiastic burbling must we endure before we reject most if not all of what's being extolled?
@Tman76Ай бұрын
3d printing ugly concrete forms is not a quicker and more efficient way of making concrete steps than traditional methods. Those columns don’t save hundreds of dollars in labour costs because they take more labour than traditional sono tubes. How about doing this video again with someone that has experience in construction? The look of the ceiling tile is almost unchanged? They don’t look anything like the old tiles! So much wrong with this video.

I see LOTS of plastic packaging and moulding waste. Also non-reusable polymers, plastics, styrene etc at demolition, end of lifetime stages, 25+ years hence. Unsustainable. At least bricks, concrete and mortars can be crushed and reused as foundations, road bases etc.

1:46 i dont see where this wall will be affective in any cold climate there is no mass or phase change material to hold heat then radiate it out at night so a false claim, any surface transfer area is so miniscule its effiecency is very low at best, 9:48 now pan back for full view notices you zoom in where feet and only partial of bock show like hiding that end of block is actually supported

@owinstanАй бұрын
Also, 'reduced labor cost' never seems to translate into a less expensive final product .. construction costs are continually rising. The 'cost reduction' is obviously not being passed down to the consumer .. must be only developers/contractors who are benefiting.

Some look like BS to me. Thermobricks that form a heat bridge through the insulation? Photovoltaic tiles have been proven to be inefficient. Wooden blocks without nails improve building speed and make building easier? Applying polymer instead of mortar is faster?
