I love the idea of taking one hour per day and just make phone calls to people and set up bookings. Then put it on the calendar like a dentist. I plan to use this plan to get my business jumping.

If someone says "No" it DOES get worse. You just bothered that person and made her dislike you. If people are afraid to do their "booking" calls, it's because they don't want to piss off other people and lose friends.

I disagree. Someone shouldn't be "bothered" and "dislike you" because you offered her something. If I offer you a stick of gum and you don't want one right now and you say no, are you bothered and now dislike me because I offered?

You are offering to give them a stick of gum. You aren't hitting them up for money to buy your gum that they don't want, or trying to recruit them to sell your gum too.

Asking if someone wants a FREE skin care class, you are NOT hitting them up for money. You are offering to teach them about skin care.

If someone dislikes you because you offer them something for FREE, then it's very likely they were not your friend in the first place. I have been in direct sales, one form or another, for over 10 years and I have never lost a friend asking for a booking. If they say "no", then I don't ask her again. Anyone that is afraid to ask for a booking because they don't want to loose friends, need to get a new set of friends.
